I’m interested to see how the story has been expanded; there isn’t enough material in the animated version to fill a live-action film.
According to reports from the set and plot leaks from scoopers, they added a battle scene at the end where Snow White defeats the Evil Queen and saves the Prince. The battle sequence adds at least 20 minutes to the runtime, and includes a fake-out death scene for Dopey. According to early reports, Snow White kills off the Queen by shoving a poisoned apple down her throat, mockingly taunting "how do you like them apples?" as she stands over the Evil Queen's corpse.

However, to establish Snow White's fighting skills, the movie will contain a five-minute training montage at the halfway point, set to one of the new songs from the film.

Snow White and the Prince will kiss in this version, although she will be the one who wakes him. But to establish that the kiss was consensual and not problematic like the animated film, a lengthy 7-minute conversation will be added to the beginning of the movie where Snow White and the Prince respectfully discuss what boundaries they are comfortable with regarding touch and public displays of affection.

So that's already 32 minutes of runtime added to the film just based on the leaks. I'm sure there are several other subplots that we don't even know about that will be added to the film. We will likely get a long sympathetic flashback/origin story for the Evil Queen that will contextualize her actions, more insight into why Grumpy became a misogynist, and a more-lengthy redemption arc for Grumpy where he explicitly apologizes to Snow for mistreating her on the basis of her gender. There will also likely be new female sidekick/friend for Snow so that the movie has an easier time passing the Bechdel test, and several scenes that explain more about the political landscape of the kingdom and how the common folk are oppressed under the reign of the Evil Queen.

Then there will be the 3-minute post-credits scene where Rachel Zegler's Snow White is recruited to join Emma Watson's Belle, Halle Bailey's Ariel, Lilly James's Cinderella, Naomi Scott's Jasmine and Liu Yifei's Mulan in a future Live Action Disney Princess crossover movie, where the Princesses must unite to save the world from a great evil.

Wow that’s not as clever as I thought it would be given the apparent effort. I expected more. 😉

If I’m not mistaken, this is the first indication we have that the Queen will appear in her Old Hag form (you can see her in the background).
The teaser previously released had the indication of the Old Hag transformation, even a quick glimpse of her, so this isn't the first.

Guess that is why MSNBC, CNN and ABC ratings are so low. Good point.
This isn’t the gotcha you think it is, since my post was clearly about all such “news” channels, regardless of their ideology.

Oh, and ABC isn’t a news channel and therefore has nothing to do with what I’m saying.

Correct… actually ABC could be the most factual… if you watch World New Tonight… the issue is with these 24 hour news channels… there is only so much news you can cover in a day…. So then they rely on so called “Opinions” to fill in the rest of the time…. But people take it as fact…which it most certainly is not

I don’t think the issue is with the format per se. There are very solid 24-hour news channels out there that stick to what they’re supposed to do, even if they end up being very repetitive as a result. But yes, what you’ve described is very much the case with all of the US-based news channels.

Here's a fun snippet of Rachel's apology video from this week. It's all over Twitter, er... X.

"Insufferable" is only one word to describe this.

SPOILER ALERT: In this version of the recent events of her own making, Rachel is the victim. Not only is she the victim, but she is also a gift unto the world that people will line up to be witness to forever more. Snow White! 🤔 🤣

Miss Zegler may have genuine talent as an actress, but she has a lot of growing up to do. In the meantime, Disney or whatever other media company that invests hundreds of millions of dollars on her work needs to reign in the leash on her and manage her very tightly and closely. Because left to her own devices, she's borderline disastrous to media investments.

Woe is me.

To be fair, she had me for like 2 seconds...which quickly passed.

Is the apology video in the room with us?

Isn't that great?! She's just absolute modern Hollywood perfection. Like she was created in a lab, or via AI or something.

I had to Google her reference to "Winged Victory" at the Louvre, as I wasn't familiar with that. It's a famous statue from Greek antiquity that was found in pieces and rebuilt at the Louvre. The statue is of the Greek goddess Nike who represents female victory and excellence and strength in battle.

You can't make this up. Snow White! :hilarious:

I mean, you guys are still here even though he declared, "The only people who like Disney are little babies and they're stupid." Perhaps people have minds of their own and aren't going to be swayed by the thoughts of a talk-show host?

Unfortunately, most foreign news organizations (especially those funded by governments) are just as wildly partisan as the American news organizations. I listen to the BBC and the CBC on occasion, and while they pretend with a thin veneer of impartiality, they fail spectacularly when you consider the things they leave out on purpose from their reporting.

I listen to NPR almost daily as I fix dinner in the kitchen or while loading/unloading the dishwasher. The voices are soothing, and I always get a huge chuckle out of their near-propaganda tone they take on current events and important topics. It's stunning they still get government subsidies like that, but here we are.

The point is that many folks don't have to agree with everything a talk show host says to enjoy them. I'm the same with Gutfeld; I tune in about 4 nights per week and laugh and enjoy it. I don't agree with everything he says, and certainly don't agree with everything his two rotating guests say, but I rarely miss it.

About the only person I'm in near total alignment on from that show is Tyrus. That man is almost always spot on correct, in my opinion. And he makes me laugh too.
