Not mention even if it is crowed how mush of that is the ride actually being popular on a regular basis or because people heard it was closing and want to get there last ride in. Would those same people still ride if it wasn't closing?

It closes in phases and all opens in 2027. Most of the land should close soon with Dinosaur closing in 2025.

Park should be a real treat by Christmas 2025……..5 whole rides.

It’s been sacrificed to the Epic attendance gods for 2025/2026.

Ok - all I was stating is that the picture provided is not a good indicator. The actual wait time you're both stating is. The queue outside of the preshow also is. By nature, the queue post-preshow fluctuates between crowded/not crowded due to groups coming out preshow in waves

There seems to be a new obsession with rides always being “in demand” to justify Disney slapping new IP everywhere instead of just keeping attractions fresh and in good show.

I don't think anyone has ever questioned Dinosaur's popularity. Instead, Dinosaur is getting replaced because everything else in Dinoland needs a major update, and Dinosaur was begining to show its age. Rather than having a single Dinosaur attraction at the back of a Tropical Americas land, their updating it so it better fits the new land

Why would they do that? Ideally they would have left Dinosaur, Boneyard, and the counter service as “Dinoland” and then the new mini-land would be the Encanto ride and carousel.

Exactly, they wouldn't. The way Disney do lands is there has to be at least 1 attraction, 1 restaurant and 1 shop. If they divided Dinoland into two mini-lands, they'd need to add a restaurant to where Dino-Rama is (where Encanto will go) or put Restaurantasaurus on the Encanto side and add one by Dinosaur. Also, Encanto is replacing all of Dino-Rama and the carousel is replacing the Boneyard, so there isn't physically enough space to have Encanto, Carousel, Boneyard, Dinosaur, 2 stores and 2 restaurants (not food stands) plus any potential animal exhibits

Or they could replace Dino-Rama with better attractions about dinosaurs or prehistoric animals, but nope. They don't have any popular dinosaur-related IPs and we gotta sell Mirabel dolls.

It's statistically proven that any IP connected to dinosaurs they could use or ask to use (Ice Age, Good Dinosaur, Nat Geo, Walking with Dinosaurs thru relationship with the BBC), would NOT sell Mirabel dolls. If there isn't a hook to sell dolls and dresses, then why keep it around?! What is Disney, a charity?!
