Can you give an approximate equivalent? I don't think any of us were expecting a show building the size of guardians, but I hope its decently large.

That's odd. I had thought it didn't mention a construction date. I admit, it was the middle of the night in UK during the panel, so my tired eyes might have glazed over that

I just said this above, but I don’t know why anyone thought Disney would spend the money to move one of these shows to Sunset Showcase.

That’s a fair assumption but Disney has shown us they have no problem repeating IP in multiple parks.

Petition to have Roz to be represented as guests walk into the factory past the paperwork desk to board their “doors”.

Maybe she or Celia could be the preshow? Honestly potential is huge for this coaster.

Today's announcement could be strategic. Monsters was slated for Animation, then was shifted to Muppets with Mermaid coming to Animation. Now with the backlash of Muppets closing, Animation is back as the location, but that leaves Mermaid in an awkward spot. So they create a new show as something to draw attention to canceling Mermaid to then be able to announce Monsters location in Animation.

I could easily see that in the queue or in the wait to unload. It could even be the same figure if the DCA ride closes for Avatar

Why would they spend all that money and then cancel mermaid last minute. I still see that mermaid could still come while monsters goes to AC

I think Launch Bay will be the entrance to Monsters Inc. and the land will take over the space behind it. Animation Courtyard will still have Mermaid.

If it goes into AC that wouldn't mean they would have to close Mermaid if they set the entrance further back. Also I don't think it really makes much of difference if mermaid is there anyway since you can just have a monster facade on the side facing into the land and could either move the exit or just exit into monsters since it doesn't really matter, you could just put a monsters door at the end of it's really that big of a problem.
