Timeline is between Frozen 1 and before Frozen 2.

Quick question that probably nobody has the answer to, but with the new FS Peter Pan ride what happens to TD's Peter Pan? Are they really going to keep two? OG and the new hotness? Or make way for something new in Fantasyland eventually? Is Peter Pan really that popular in Japan?

It was popular enough but luckily the rides are far more efficient. They could update or plus it or change it.
Its honestly not my favorite version of Peter Pan but it did look pretty good.

I think that they will keep it for awhile until they have the budget to bring new products and experiences after fantasy springs and Space mountain/Tomorrowland renovation.
From what I understand before pandemic the priority was to update Tomorrowland after the Fantasyland Expansion, and each theme land in TDL will receive an update into its attractions. priorities has changed after COVID so some projects were shelved or being revised.
Last I heard that there was Balloon testing around rivers of America area between the OLC offices and and Critter country/Westernland back in 2016/18 timeline. The plan was to make a new experience within that area, expand and move the OLC Office somewhere near the resort.

They could have dug up old plans for WDW's Persian Resort and made it like an extension of Arabian Coast, but instead we got....this.
