looks interesting. a bit spookier looking than i originally thought it would be. definitely not for the younger ones. i got a kick out of some of the nods to the ride i’ve seen in this trailer. i just hope it’s a good movie.

It sure looks better than what came before it. I'm definitely interested. Looks like all the effort Disney has made perfecting their dark and dreary cinematography will pay off on this one.

Looks pretty good, a vast improvement over the Eddie Murphy movie. I still believe it should have been released in October, however.

1 thing i forgot to mention that gives me a laugh. my wife is always a bit freaked out over the bride during the ride. this trailer doesn’t help

I also don't understand why a Labor Day release wouldn't work. Shang-Chi made a lot of money — by Covid-19 standards — by releasing Labor Day weekend. Why aren't more studios taking advantage of that?

I think this could be a great movie, but also am 100% convinced it should be a Halloween release.

Disney World starts Halloween August 11 this year. July 28 basically is Halloween on the Mickey calendar.

They probably want people to get hyped for whatever Halloween slate of programming, parks, merch drops within a few weeks of this movie's release.

Surprising that looks pretty darn good. They used lots of characters from the ride and the CG looks much better than a certain mermaid movie.

It will probably be a mix of horror and comedy.

In the first half of the Disney World/Disneyland ride, the tone is pretty dark and scary. It doesn't really get silly and funny until the second half of the ride.

They're probably angling to drop it on Disney+ in September for the Halloween season.

This wasn't supposed to come out in July, it was supposed to be released in the fall, but they switched dates with The Marvels for some reason.

One very small consideration is that Haunted Mansion is actually open at DLR in July. Particularly since this is extremely ride referential from the look of the trailer.
