Trip Report Everything Is Just So Peachy Keen! *COMPLETED*

It certainly was for us Georgia peaches this last week! For those who may be new here, let us introduce ourselves. We are Tuvalu and Em, a mother-daughter duo who love traveling together to Walt Disney World. We take multiple trips per year (this was our third for 2022) and for us, time spent at our resort is just as important to us as time spent in the parks. Slow-paced relaxation is vital to us!

I’m sure this laid-back vibe is what draws people to cruises: pools, bars, a variety of restaurants and activities from which to choose . I can’t do ships. But I can happily “land cruise” at WDW!

Hope you decide to follow along and learn about the surprises on our most recent voyage.

When: July 20-27, 2022
Where: Disney’s Yacht Club and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resorts

I’ll bet @tonystark correctly guessed where we went next.

(I mean it’s not that far from Neverland! )

The doors had just closed in front of us.

Woody and I were the first ones into the foyer. There was a large crowd behind us, some of whom (for whatever reason) remained stationary when the door to the stretching room opened. Woody and I were near the front and made our way inside as we heard the CM butler loudly proclaim: “Go around those who are not moving. Their loss is your gain.”

It was the oddest thing!

@AKemily no one frightened me as the ride photo was taken. This was another lame attempt at posing. :hilarious:

It’s a Small World was a walk-on.

The Goodbye screens were broken. No excited, “Look, there’s my name!” from any passengers in our boat.

Attraction #5. Scuttle was still MIA.

Though perhaps he just prefers this spot?

I finally got all caught up after being away from the boards this past month! So glad you enjoyed your stay at Riviera Resort (notwithstanding the loud helicopter overhead) as it's one of the resorts that we hope to try with our DVC points. The heat and rain certainly do play a big part in WDW summer trips, and I think it's a good reason that they shouldn't start the MNSSHP until mid-September! Hopefully you'll have better luck with the MVMCP! Your trip report stories are always so entertaining! Can't wait to read more. 🥰

Haha if I didn’t know better I’d have thought you were trying to copy mine and Jenny’s photo 😂

Definitely nailed it. I’m still waiting for someone to attempt copying the ghosts in the bottom of the photopass frame:

I would love to see you and Em attempt this ;)

They weren’t working on our trip at all either, which was disappointing. Jenny’s mind would have been blown :joyfull:
Attraction #5. Scuttle was still MIA.
Also no Scuttle on our trip ☹️ C’mon Disney!

Wednesday, con’t

After waving to Ariel and Eric we went for a spin around Tomorrowland. Tron was in testing mode but I was not quick enough to capture a pic of it. So fun to see the motorcycle train(?) racing along the track. (What did you call it when you rode it in Shanghai, @amjt660?)

Then since we were in the neighborhood….

I wanted Woody to see the new Christmas clothes in the last scene. Imagine my surprise to see new holiday decor in other vignettes!

Woody and I were getting our steps in as we walked from Tomorrowland over to Frontierland. @Loco_driver ’s cousin Wendell was out looking for him. 😉

We missed the Jamboree this trip. What were we thinking?!

At the moment we were thinking of lunch as our mobile order was ready.

Shirley had called ahead for private dining space and was accommodated.

Note the powdered cinnamon sugar donut holes front and center on the tray (one short :cautious: :angelic:). Em and I missed getting them last month and I was not making that mistake again!

As usual, the food was surprisingly good. We lingered awhile at lunch for the a/c.

#shirleystatus Again! As far as steps go, I’m not a big fan of all the cross-cossing the park but will do it if I must.😍 Is MK the smallest of the 4 parks, walking-wise? I want to say HS is a close second but with SWGE….?
My understanding is that Galaxy edge did not increase the size of the park - it just used space that was being used by the car stunt show and the back lot tour

Disneyland in Cali actually expanded the park space ( stole from backlot area ) when it created galaxy edge
