Time to fire this thread up unfortunately, what will be Hurricane Hermine is expected to hit Florida Wednesday as a F2 (110 mph) storm.

It will be gone by then, expected to move rapidly to the NE and only be over FL for a day.

That track has it farther south than I was expecting. I figured middle of the Gulf, then landfall anywhere from Tallahassee to Tampa. Let’s hope it moves through the southern tip of FL fast.

Watching the GFS huh? European model has been more east, this track is deferring greatly to the latter.

Yeah. Models are shifting eastward. I’ll still have to deal with it at WDW. But my concerns are eased. I live in Tallahassee. We already had to put up with a Hermine (Cat 1) in 2016. I rode that out then went to my already planned trip to WDW. LOL.

Should be a high end Cat 2/Low end Cat 3 at landfall.

Booked a backup flight for Thursday now (supposed to arrive Tuesday.) Will hope for it moving further east.

Well further west it hits more of the gulf, and has more time to strengthen into a monster, further east it misses the US entirely and goes out to sea.

Buy that portable generator before all are purchased, fill up your gas tank before gas stations run out and all in arms way have a plan !

When the power goes out you can always sleep with the patio door open at AK Lodge getting some fresh air. Good luck to you. I doubt the theme parks will be open during hurricane conditions.
