EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

Its indoors and a coaster so yeah, basically the same. Just like Haunted Mansion is basically the same as Journey of The Little Mermaid.
Soooo.... you don't see a lot more similarities between, say, Space Mountain, Tron, Guardians, and RnRC then between HM and LM? Here, let me help. All of the former group are coasters in dark warehouses with occasional light or projection effects to create glowy spots in the visual void. The first three have a sci-fi theme, with both SM and GotG featuring similar space themes. All have comparable (quite brief) ride times. Three of the four feature launches. Guardians and RnRC (and SM in DL) use a pop song soundtrack to heighten excitement.

HM and LM are both omnimovers. But the omnimover format, which features complex sets and enables more elaborate narratives, is inherently more capable of varied experiences then "dark launch coaster with pretty color flashes." To have replicated the SM/Tron/GotG/RnRC situation, Disney would have had to follow Haunted Mansion up with, say, the Spooky Apartment Complex and the Vaguely Foreboding But Also Quite Amusing Large Domicile.

Whoah, wait a minute. You mean to tell me that a construction photo isn't showing me a completed project- EVEN when a few days have gone by with no discernible progress? Mind blown.

I'm curious as to how they are going to remove the support structure. In the concept art it is clearly not there. Maybe a constant stream of steam to conceal it?
I can't imagine all of the support will be in the tail fin as it appears in the art. (That being said, we do have floating mountains so I guess anything is possible)

I can’t tell if this is serious.

Going against my mockery of generalization or helping prove my point?

"But the omnimover format, which features complex sets and enables more elaborate narratives..." Would you not agree that Disney took a format that worked great in one use (Haunted Mansion) and then turned in a less than stellar use of the same format (Journey of LM)?

It's about execution!

Back to my original point with you, I do not believe IN MY OPINION that you can declare because a certain format is used or X# of AA are or aren't used that you can declare a ride a success or not.

It's about execution, I can not judge execution until I experience it, you obviously can. Let's leave it at that, I'll go experience it and form my opinion then, you can save your money and judge it from your keyboard.

Do you go to every movie released because you are unable or unwilling to use trailers to form opinions about upcoming films?

Except it is finished. It matches the concept art and film, there’s no pieces left to add, the reality is that they put an ugly support in front of the bottom fin/wing instead of inside of it.
Why are they still adding pieces almost 2 weeks after you said it was finished?
(please note, yes I'm giving you a little ribbing, but I'm also skeptical of how it will look when finished)

A. This isn't a movie. A movie you experience sitting in your chair while visually taking in what is presented to you. Which is the same format a trailer is delivered in.

B. Has there been a trailer for this ride yet?

Not the same medium. Can you judge the taste of your restaurant by a commercial?

Lol yeah I was wrong. Sorry! Will be interesting to see what they’re adding right now. Also let it be known that I still hate chronic “let’s wait and see” people when we have a pretty good picture of something!

What they're currently doing is adding elements to conceal the joints that were visible immediately after installing the wings. They also added the windshield not long ago. I assume they'll turn their attention to the support structure once they're done with the ship itself.

I get it, we have to form opinions along the way as we see things develop. I'm just a little more cautious with closing the review.

Why is it not serious? In the update it says that they will start to conceal the support structure. The support structure is pretty substantial compared to the concept art.
Is the full structure going to be concealed? You make it seem like in construction they don't add temporary supports. Obviously the entire support structure isn't going away but that seems like a lot to conceal.

My comment about the steam coming from the ship would hide it as the steel is currently painted a light gray.
