Maybe but the lowest number of Covid-19 deaths in NYC are in the 0 to 18 range and i don't see any of them on the force.Likely due to the age range of an NYPD officer being lower than the age range for the general population.

Thanks for the fact check. This makes sense to me.
What does not make sense to me is NYPD being forced to vaccinate or lose their jobs.
If you follow it back you will understand. It started with death rates in NYPD from covid-19.What is the relevance of this observation?

The post I was responding to refered to the officers being younger than many in the general population who died of Covid-19. I was pointing out while that is true, the demographic with the fewest deaths is not represented in NYPD either. I will add the quote to my response for clarity. Can you explain what relevance you think the fact that NYPD doesn't employ children has to the conversation?
I might be misinterpreting you last few posts, but it sounds like you’re trying to trivialize the pandemic and that’s not cool. 746,000 Americans and counting have died of this and if you don’t think that’s a big deal, I don’t know what to tell you. Also, your statement about having natural immunity after having COVID is flawed. Every single study that has been done says that it is possible to be reinfected after having had COVID.We can be thankful that the vast majority who get covid do survive, many with little or no symptoms. In the case of your neighbor, he and his family now have natural immunity, so that's good.
It's too bad folks that had COVID, survived and now have natural immunity, are still forced to get the vaccine or lose their jobs...
Yes God forbid that people who work in the fields of healthcare and public safety should have to receive a vaccine.I understand many businesses are mandating the vaccine that's fine. But for these essential NYC workers, to me its different and I agree, should have been handled better.
I would have thought their unions would have been stronger.
Yup, anti-vax needs to get vaccinated to get back to normal next year before it's too late.![]()
COVID-19: Disease-induced (natural) immunity, vaccination or hybrid immunity?
If you’ve had COVID-19 before, does your natural immunity work better than a vaccine?www.nebraskamed.com
Yeah no, get vaccinated and stop pushing anti-vax crap still. (General statment here)

My union said they supported vaccination (and kept telling us we should get the shot) but not the mandate. They suggested it was an attempt from the Board to take away our voice. Not all unions are against a vaccine mandate. Many were totally on board, including police and fire fighter unions.
Some unions are OK with the mandates, but didn't like that they were bypassed in negotiations. Some, just to retain power, others, with a real desire to protect some of their workers who couldn't get vaccinated and to hash out penalties and grounds for being fired.
The union leadership that are totally against a mandate need to check in with their constituents whom they're supposed to be representing. The majority got vaccinated and may not be happy with their union leadership being anti-science and anti-vax.
Putting others at unnecessary risk is not heroic. At the beginning of the pandemic, our essential workers were held up as the heros that they truly are. Along comes the vaccine mandates and our heros are suddenly….. expendable…
Not sure about AP but I have heard Flying Fish will be opening before the Christmas rush starts. It is fully staffed and has been used recently for multiple private parties including one with all the Disney bigwigs the night before the 50th.Have there been any rumors of the still closed restaurants (Artist Point, Flying Fish) opening anytime soon?
