Can I bring my own 3D glasses?

For what it's worth I brought the 3D glasses from A Bugs Life and Toy Story Mania attractions home and tried them out on my Vizio 3D TV (passive "Real 3d") at home and they worked fine. Heck I usually take pounds of items with us that I never use when I go to Disney World so what's a couple...

    Never heard this before

At best it sounds like some sort of individual "business" rule bending service concerning the Handicap Access amenities that are extended to legitimate handicapped guests. (The top of the line legitimate Disney Premium Private VIP tour program runs around $300 to $500 per HOUR!!) It may also be...

    RAPID FILL MUGS

What I remember is back in the 90's and into the middle 2000's there were two types of refillable cups...a mug type and a travel cup size. (your choice of type) They came included in the various dining plans (I forget what year they started the dining plans) and were "unlimited" refills. (I...

Walkway to MK from the GF?

I seem to remember there was a "walk around the World" path going around Bay lake being planned and promoted back in the early 90's. It was tied into the personalized paving bricks offering. It never came to be but I'm not sure exactly why.

    Starbucks coming to Disney parks

Actually I'm bewildered that a premium coffee service/chain has taken so long to establish a presence at the Disney parks.....

Anyone remember Melvin The Moose Breakfast in Pioneer Hall?

The original show in around 1986 was the Melvin The Moose Breakfast show. Chip and Dale were added and the show was renamed the Chip And Dale Breakfast Jamboree in 1987 or so and ran until around 1990. The "Chocolate Chip & Dale" muffins were real crowd pleasers.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Extra Magic Hours now mornings only

I'm sure they have their reasons but that's disappointing news. Animal Kingdom at night has an entirely different ambiance and is a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. We went to the evening EMH for the first time a few years ago and have made it a point to go back on every visit since.

Best times to ride Toy Story Mania? Normal Morning or EMH eve o

We've always gone (quickly!!) with the opening stampede, got fastpasses (for about one to one and a half hour or so later) and went on the ride after a 10 or 15 minute queue. We then went back at the fastpass time for the second ride of the day. I really haven't noticed any low wait times during...

Rumor - Le Cellier going Signature

The only place I've seen a dress code enforced is when we ate at Victoria & Albert's in the Grand Floridian a few years back. I did wear long pants (NOT jeans) a collared shirt, and dress shoes. They had a supply of jackets there to lend male patrons while dining. I don't know about enforcement...

    Worst Meal at Disney

The worst meal we ever had was a dinner at Tony's in the Magic Kingdom in the early/middle 1990's. I ordered spagetti & meatballs and my better half ordered a chicken parmisan dish. The meatballs were bland and tasteless and the spagetti tasted like it came from a can with watered down sauce...

    back from the dead

I always thought the 3D Capt. Eo attraction was discontinued in WDW due to the massive amounts of negative Michael Jackson publicity at the time and subsequent negative press in the court trials, etc. Now public opinion has seemed to do a 180 concerning Michael Jackson's image. Plus, the...

    Pirates of the Caribbean

Don't forget that the ride doesn't even make use of any passenger restraint system. No seat belts, etc. By any motion ride standard, the ride is extremely non violent. I would agree the anticipation of the mild drop in the dark is probably the most fear inducing event for a child.

    Minature Golf

Just a quick piece of advice. I remember two courses at Fantasia and one of them (I think it was the Fairways but I'm not sure) is rather difficult and was not much fun for me. Be sure to check it out before playing one of the courses. I'm sure it's a matter of opinion, but it might cut out a...

    Cheap Eats Guide to WDW

We've found (at least as of Sept. 2008) that the Pepper Market at the Coronado Springs Resort offers what is effectively a table service type meal for a Counter Service Dining Plan credit. OK you have to leg it to the food prep areas but it was worth the 75 foot walk to us...The $22.95 ribeye...

Best way to Hoop De Do from POFQ?

The one thing I don't see in these posts are suggestions for the return trip from the Hoop De Doo Review to your resort. When we went to the Review this past September we discovered that after each show there are direct buses going back to every resort. (for the return trip only) They ask each...

    Abandoned Pop Century Buildings

This is a photo we took in 2005. I'm pretty sure not much has changed since then except for ALOT more vegetation. I remember dozens of threads from various forums over the years about the buildings. A bunch of opinions and rumors were posted, but after years have...
