Yes
I think Splash is fine; most of the stuff that is objectionable by modern standards (like the Tar Baby, which over the years came to be a racial slur) was changed or removed. It's not like there's a Confederate Flag or a tribute to Nathan Bedford Forrest in the ride anywhere.
Agreed. And speaking of changes, in the WDW version Br'er Rabbit's fur was even changed from brown to grey to undermine the connection even more.

I promise this will be the last one. I'm sorry, these people just infuriate me so much. I just can't believe there are people out there that think like this.

People say that, but I'm not sure that's the full reason since there are pictures of him with brown fur in the queue and gift shop. It was a common alternate coloration for the character like how Brer Bear's hat is yellow instead of red in some materials including the attraction poster and the Tokyo Disneyland version of the ride.

I'm sorry I can't help myself. I've gone from frustrated to flat out terrified. I was already concerned before but now that the Marvel ToT has been announced, I think it is completely warranted. These will be the very last ones I'll post, but wow are they awful!

I don't think anything will happen to Splash Mountain.
1) All the people begging for Zootopia over Splash Mountain could probably fit in the same room. And it could be a small room. It's really not many people.
2) Even if GOTG ToT happens against all odds, Splash still wouldn't because that would require a mountain at MK to be closed for an extended period of time. They won't even close a practically falling apart Space Mountain to make it, y'know, not falling apart, so we don't need to worry about anything happen to this other mountain.

How many people were asking for the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror to be replaced?
Fixing Space Mountain doesn't meet the goal of incorporating franchises.

I understand that these people are idiotic and I also know that the likelihood of anything happening to Splash Mountain is very slim, but it's just something I've been a bit nervous about recently and I thought these tweets were worth sharing. Even though it's a very, very small minority, I thought it was important to let everyone know that these people are out there. However, I've clearly been obsessing about it way too much and, especially after reading some of the comments here, I've realized it's really not helping anything showing off these tweets. People are going to continue saying stupid things like this, and though they may be absolutely enraging to me, I just need to ignore them and not feel so impulsed to show everyone. I apologize for veering this thread so far off topic and making a big deal out of nothing.

The world would hear my screams and cries if they changed Splash Mountain. I would never go back to wdw. Seriously, I would never recover and heaven help those who do it because I can't be held responsible for what I might do. I just love that ride so much!

That's kinda disappointing :(NOT to meeting Judy and Nick at WDW but my only way to see them is in parade mode or dance with either one of the two characters(Judy or Nick)
