I feel like the plot and renderings make it less likely if anything. It's just ... even though there's not actually a problem with it, Police Ride Along: The Ride seems like something they wouldn't want to touch after they just went to all the trouble of surfacing the Splash redo at the time that they did.

So their ride can have some practical smoke effects but Rise can't have any lol?

The after AT-AT shootout scene and space battle/cannon scene would be perfect candidates for some "practical" effects.
Would make an already good ride even better.

This belongs in the Tokyo/Hong Kong/Shanghai forum, not here, at least until they announce that they will be reusing this concept.

No need to be fatalistic. Heck, I'm not quite convinced that a Zootopia themed attraction is coming, although it seems likely.

Now, you could point out that you can see the Museum of Natural History in the Shanghai concept art. That might have something to do with Animal Kingdom. But maybe we should wait a few days for the previews to see if it is just a façade or if there is any sort of exhibit associated with it.

Nah. It definitely belongs here. That’s like saying that since this was announced as possibly coming that we don’t need a thread. Of COURSE we are going to talk about the ride details here. That’s a massive component to this ride possibly coming to AK.

Based on current climate as well as ride systems I don’t see DAK getting the same Zootopia attraction as presented above

No domestic park has a permanent Zootopia presence yet, and only one "inspired by Moana" walk-through.

If you're already tired of them, prepare for major clinical depression.

Hope you've already recovered from Princess, Frozen, and Star Wars fatigue.

Or Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast during the 1990s and early to mid 2000s.

I’d genuinely be fine with Zootopia in DAK if it wasn’t replacing one of the park’s 5 rides. DAK needs more to do. It needs more A/C too.

I do find it quite ridiculous that it would get priority over a Lion King area though.

But that would be hard and require extra work and money, when instead WDI in Glendale can keep cribbing the homework of Shanghai Disneyland and Disneyland Paris.
