Zebra Domes for Breakfast

Ohhhmuhgoodness.... I am so full right now. Just got back from breakfast at Boma with my best friend... I am soooooo full. The food was excellent, although, I was expecting a bit more african flare... oh well, it was still great. The omlette bar was awesome, the fruit was fresh, and the specialty juice was amazing. Not sure what it's called, but they make it fresh there. It has orange, papaya, mago, and kiwi? Not sure. But it was surprisingly tasty.

And the best part of all... My friend had never had a Zebra Dome... so, our waiter was kind enough to surprise us with one!! He told us to not let anyone know... otherwise, everyone in the place would want one... LOL... it was so good. And now I'm STUFFED... lol

We ate at Boma last week! It was VERY good. I really liked the corn stew. But the Zebra Domes were TO DIE FOR! I also liked the little dark-chocolate desserts that look like a cup turned upside-down. No idea what they are called, but I liked them even better than the ZDs.:slurp:

The most disappointing thing about my dinner at Boma was that I made the mistake of starting at the wrong end of the buffet and by the time I worked my way to the dessert end (4 plates later) I was full. That didn't stop me from trying one of everything (and about 4 zebra domes) but next time I will just start with the zebra domes and see where it goes from there.

As for the breakfast drink I believe they called it Frunch. Boy, I could really go for a glass of that right now.

Now I'm all sad that I'm not there :( .

It's a dessert at Boma in the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Imagine a tennis ball cut in half. Now take one half and set it on a plate (flat side down). Now imagine that it is made out of chocolate (if I remember there was a slight mocha flavor). They are very good.

Do you need PS reservations at BOMA??

I'm a chocoholic and everyone raving about these Zebra Domes is persuading me in going to see what it's all about!! :slurp:

I'm going down for my honeymoon in less than two weeks and I'm trying to pick out places to eat.

Can anyone tell me anything else about the food at BOMA??? I'd really appreciate it!! :D

We were going to try it in August but opted to go to Cape May Cafe instead. We are definately going next year though after hearing all the great reviews.

Priority Seating always helps. We didn't need them for Breakfast, but I'd recommend them for dinner. The food is AMAZING. It's buffet style, and the food changes all the time. I was hesitant to try african food, but, ohmugoodness, it is goooooooooood!!
