Your three questions for Bob Iger and Josh D'Amaro

Your first 2 points were spot on, the last one, I have a problem with. My wife and I have been there 4 times in the past 3 years…three times in December (including this past December) and in May 2021.
I don’t know if we’re going in the “clean” time of the year or what you’re finding filthy, but the parks and Boardwalk/Beach Club were clean and orderly. The ONLY restroom that was messy was the one across from Dinosaur in AK and there was a cleaning CM inside sweeping up and wiping down the sinks. As a matter of fact, there were CM’s near or in a majority of the restrooms (especially the busier ones). I’d really like someone who’s there to provide date stamped photos, not stock pix from Google. I’m NOT a pixie duster by a long shot, but the parks were clean the times we were there. I live 20 minutes from Six Flags in NJ…trust me, there’s NO comparison.
Back in the day I don't recall if it was Six Flags or Busch but I saw a tree called the gum tree. It was decorated with multi colored used chewing gum that guests pasted on the tree.

There were posts/columns in the queue for the log flume…COVERED in gum…that’s also when you were allowed to smoke right up to boarding.

I do give credit to the custodial cast who use metal scrapers which I have seen scraping gum off the walkways at WDW. WDW doesn't even sell chewing gum. Its the behavior of some disgusting guests that caused this.

I was so going to make a “is that a Six Flags thing or just a Jersey thing?”

Then I remembered that I live in Louisiana, where our state bird is the airborne Walmart bag.

It’s illegal to give out those bags in Jersey…so the mosquito has regained its spot as our state bird…

For them both...

What so you think people would consider to be your 'legacy' in your current job as things stand today?

What do you think you could do in the near future that might improve how people view your legacy going forward?

Scene: Night, riding along the Magic Kingdom ferry, me pointing towards the Grand Floridian.

“How is that in any way acceptable?”

If supporting creatives and creativity is so important, why is Walt Disney Imagineering not allowed to just be creative and come up with the best ideas?
Because they handle money like an addict at an “all you can binge” crack den. Results based business
A division that creates just ideas is a cost center or simply R&D. In today's corporate environment, simple R&D, for sake of creating ideas, is not desirable as pure R&D is a negative on the quarterly P&L statement. WDI needs to offset cost with some tangible revenue.
Thank you.

There’s this myth that WED/WDI Were more “artists” in the past and that’s what they’re missing…
What they’re missing is the ability to do things on a budget and a timetable. It’s a buddy system of largesse now. Get it done and you get more projects…that was always the deal.

1) what is behind the crazy construction times (do you feel increasing rides, attractions, spreading out the people and customer satisfaction isnt urgent)
2) Why not add more C B attractions that arent spinners? Why must things be removed or rethemed instead of using the space you have to add more.
3) Will you adopt me

Add in Walt and Roy listened to them. They were dreamers along with the artists and wanted to bring the guests things they have never seen. Now we have businessmen that only care about ROI.

I made the mistake of visiting the restroom between Nine Dragons and the Lotus Blossom Cafe. :hungover:

That has got to be THE most disgusting restroom in all of WDW.

I think that's what made the OG Disney company so special.
Walt had these grandiose ideas, but he was always trying to find workarounds thanks to budget, time, and technological limitations of his day.

The result? Art through Adversity.

Walt and his creative core would have easily bankrupted the Walt Disney Company if they were given carte blanche just to be creative. We'd already seen this with massive gamble Walt took on Snow White. I can safely say that had that film flopped at the box office, absolutely none of us would be logged in to this website right now.

And THAT is why Roy O. is the hero of TWDC.

For Bob:
What happened to creativity at Disney? Live action remakes are quick money makers, but, add nothing to the Disney legacy.

For Bob and Josh:
1. Why are measures put in place during Covid still in place long after they have been removed elsewhere.
2. Why do you think it is acceptable for paying guests not to have even the basics like daily mousekeeping and why does it feel like the training program for new CMs lacks teaching them even basic customer service.
3. Is monetising every last thing a good long term strategy?

I guess I'd ask them why are they not focused on families anymore? *grabbing popcorn*
Seems like indoctrinating the next generation should be more important than satisfying childless Disney adults.

Don’t worry those guests aren’t coming anymore, they are worried about Disney’s woke agenda and are not spending their hard earned money at a place that doesn’t share their ideals.
