Also gonna try the Yacht in 2014. Love my steaks. Off with the horns and wipe its bum and put it on the plate.;)

We went out to dinner last night for our son's birthday. Dear son and I both enjoyed Lobster Bisque, New York strip steak with delmonico potatoes. He ordered green beans for a side I had creamed spinach. We ended with creme brulee. After dinner he said "The only way this meal could have been better is if we ate it at the Yachtsman." I told him next summer.

I have a few, mostly things I just can't find here in New England on a regular basis, such as pretzel bread, funnel cakes and key lime pie.

Really? Just about any State / County / Local fair that I have been to has them.

I guess if you call not being able to get them in a non-fair environment, then maybe you cant get them on a regular basis.

Exactly, you only find funnel cakes at a fair they have a few here in NE in the fall but it can turn out to be an expensive funnel cake with parking and admission etc.

I know I'm usually a downer with not much good to say about Disney grub overall. I do, however, have a very real relationship going with Disney rice crispy treats that are chocolate dipped. I really get excited when they're the on-the-stick variety because then I don't even have to get my fingers sticky. It's the texture of the crispy, I think. It's a bit soft. I've tried and tried to replicate them at home to no avail. Last May I spotted them at a concierge reception on the Disney Magic and I'm quite sure I had everyone else in the room convinced I was a little hoarder. I ate 3 of them at the reception then snuck one or more (I won't tell!) into my bag. I swear, if I could've stuffed more into the hubby's clothes I would've. So yeah, my crazy Disney food is the chocolate dipped crispy treats. Pretty readily available across Disney property, too. Lucky me! Or not. They're so hard to say no to every time I pass one. LOL!

Ghiradelli hot fudge sundae. We always do the meal plan and I feel really guilty paying out of pocket for food since I get sooooooo much with the meal plan.

But I HAVE to have one every trip even if I'm stuffed!!

Yup - pan fried baby squid (no breading, just butter, olive oil, garlic). VERY Sicilian - NO ONE from Nebraska is going to want this :).
Love, love, love,Calamari. Apart from the Greek isles,I once had it at a restaurant in Redondo beach L.A. And it was sooooo good, but where at WDW do you get it,and why the Nebraska comment, curious as ever.;)

Dead Right! Ah, but you see, you are getting those mature "tentacle sections" from OLDER Squid - they need to be beat up a bit just to make something edible....

Now, whole pan fried BABY Squid (think "bait") - whole different story :). Dad was a commercial fisherman for about 10 years: his story was simple - "If you don't catch anything? Dinner is the bait". Boy, could he cook bait - later in life, he became the Maitre D' at several of San Francisco's best Restaurants, circa 1955 - 1975 :).
Awesome.Love that story.;)
