This year we don't get in until 10 PM on the 14th. :snore: But, the next day, we're hitting MNSSHP on the 15th after getting settled into our condo and chilling out for the day! Can't wait to see what all the hype is about the party! I'm sure it's worth it, though!!:sohappy:

We usually get to the hotel about the same time you do check-in, set the room up, swim, check out the resort and then go to one of the other resorts for dinner, Ohana, Boma, etc. It's a nice start to our trip and we save on a day for tickets.

I have no idea what we are gonna do our first day. Probably sit there with our mouths wide open for awhile gaping at the wonders

That will be my DD-in-law, she has never been and has no idea what it is like. :dazzle:

We drive from Ocean Springs MS to Lake City Fl , stay the night there, get up the next morning and arrive at WDW around noon, leave our luggage with the bellman, purchase our park hopper passes and head to EPCOT for lunch in FW, HISTA, SSE, LS, and TT. Then head back to the hotel, check in, unpack either take a nap or hit the pool and then we head back to EPCOT for dinner at WS. I think this time it will be dinner in Mexico, so I can get a good seat and have a margarita and watch Illuminations!!!! :D

When we leave I ususally stomp my feet, cry and act like my inner 10 yr old because we are leaving the most magical place on earth!!

253 Days until we are there:sohappy:

Every year we start our trip at a different park... so its a 4 year rotation where we start... This past time it was MK and POTC... next time it will be AK... the ride depends on our mood/wait times

Our first day...early morning flight and arrival at the resort by late morning. After check in, if the room is ready, check the room out, relax and change for a nice relaxing swim and lunch. Towards evening we make our way to MK and have a wonderful night!

We usually arrive late afternoon after driving all day. We grab a quick meal at the resort (or head right to a restaurant in the park if we can get a reservation) and then either go to DS for Fantasmic or to Epcot to watch Illuminations or to MK to find a place to watch Wishes. We always begin and end our trips with one of these three shows.

This is one of our first times staying onsite, and this thread has kind of been my delema for our first day.

Here are my plans so far: We arrive at MCO around 5PM on our first day in Dec, MME to AKL and check in, and then explore our hotel (which should take us many hours to do). I've made dinner reservations at Jiko already, but am kind of stumped after that. I'm sure we won't be able to sleep. Does any one have suggestions? Maybe something Christmassy at one of the resorts? I just want to help give the Magic a kickstart before we head to the parks the next morning.

100 days and counting... WOOOOHOOOO!

Flying in from pretty far away from WDW (Tucson, Arizona)...we need to take an early flight (5:00am), and even then we don't arrive at MCO until 3:30pm.

Checking in at Pop Century, unpacking, and resting from jetlag...we'll eventually make our way over to Downtown Disney, for dinner.

Basically, resting and preparing for our first day in the parks!

We don't have a set thing that we always do on arrival day.
-In 2002, it was rainy, so we just hung out at the resort and had a nice relaxing dinner.
-We stayed at POFQ in 2004, so it was a natural choice to take the cruise to DTD for the evening.
-Last year, we got to WDW at about 2pm, so we headed over to Epcot. We did a few FW rides, then headed to WS for the F&W Festival and dinner at Morocco.
-In January, we plan on doing MGM on our first afternoon/evening. It will be terrific to cap off our very first night at WDW with Fantasmic!
