Hands down-- on the edge of the fountain in front of the tip board at DHS.

Edit: I also love watching the Fountains of Nations in front of Space Ship Earth.

Magic Kingdom:
-TTA
-smoke stop by BTMRR
-smoke stop across from Aloha Isle (usually involves a Dole Whip float, too)
-smoke stop by Tomorrowland Indy Speedway - love watching stupid drivers, and the kids too lol

Epcot:
-smoke stop right under SSE, by the bathrooms... good for people watching
-smoke stop by Germany, usually with beer and pretzel
-smoke stop between JIYI and the Land, people watching and Monorail watching

DHS:
-ergh.... smoke stop by ABC, usually with beer (noticing any patterns?)
-smoke stop between RnRC/ToT, usually with ice cream.... and beer....

AK:
-smoke stop near Everest: you can watch/hear all the riders on the drop!
-smoke stop next to Flame Tree, good people watching
-smoke stop behind the bar next to Tusker House, slightly quiet, right near the water....... and the bar, usually with an adult beverage or ice cream

Hmm... so let's see.... when we 'relax' at Disney, we do it with cigarettes, alcohol, and various forms of ice cream. Well, that explains alot lol!!

This is more of a break from the craziness of the vacation but I really enjoy taking a walk on the walkway from the Swan / Dolphin to Disney Hollywood Studios. It's usually a great quiet walk.

Also enjoy time on the Boardwalk - during the day it's relaxing and great for pictures with the family. Enjoy stopping by Big River Grille for lunch sitting outside. Get my Gordon Biersch points if we eat there!

Of course! The PeopleMover is perfect for relaxing in the afternoon! :sohappy:

:D

Sometimes if I'm not sure whether I need to head back to the hotel for a snooze or dip in the pool, I'll hop on TTA for a ride or two.

I'll also ride the RR all the way around, sometimes even twice. It's very relaxing, and another way to catch a good breeze.

It's weird, I love thrill rides, but when it comes down to it, my favorite attractions are decidedly not thrilling.

Although it's not the most comfortable of seats, I will sometimes park myself on Main St hours before the parade and people watch. I end up with a good seat, and it's really fun to people watch sometimes.

One must-do my family agrees on is riding the boat from DHS to Epcot...my dad especially loves that one, and it's just long enough where you can rest a bit in between parks (really helpful if you're in a resort that's far from Epcot or DHS...sometimes by the time you wait for the bus, make it back, and walk to your room, you're too tired to head back!).

I don't usually rest that often and when I do it's usually for a show/to eat but when I do....

MK: Benches down a side 'street' off of Main Street (the barbershop quartet came out once from down there and sang happy birthday to me improptu before heading out to main st for their show)

Epcot: Paris, either the movie or sitting eating a pastry
China, sitting waiting/watching the acrobats

DHS & AK: can't think of anywhere I've ever rested there...

The hammocks at the Polynesian Resort...even more so at night when Wishes is about to go on in an hour and the water parade starts.

I swear, if any of you take that spot...

Oh, i fully intend to try out the hammocks at the Coronado Springs at some point in my life too as a rest spot.

What can I say? I have a thing for hammocks.

We used to dash around manically but now take things at a slightly slower pace and I really love relaxing in some of the most magical places:

AK: Dawa Bar with a beer or cocktail
A terrace overlooking the Tree of Life off the Asia-Africa path
Flame Tree, by the lake

Ep: Rose & Crown garden, with a Harp
By the lake with a strawberry cake from Seasons

DHS: A bench near the Dip site, with a beer
Muppets Show-I slept all thro it

MK: Nowhere really, we tend to go to a nearby resort.....for a beer :slurp:

And if we're staying at Pop, on a bench (OUR bench!) by the lake with the bunny rabbits and ducks...and a beer :D

Can't wait - 38 days!!

We don't go often enough to really have a favorite rest spot, BUT I have to agree on TTA.

Also, I found Pinocchio Haus (I think that's the name) to be an enjoyable stop. In case I have the name wrong, I'm talking about the one where you can look out windows and see inside IASM. Anyway, the food was a nice break from the normal fried fare, and sitting in air-conditioning while watching IASM isn't such a bad deal either... (AND you don't have to hear the music, as I recall!)

Threads like these make me so lonely for WDW...

but here's my favorite rest spots in the MK;

- Pooh's Playful Spot, on a bench while the kids go nuts.
- TTA (of course)
- The Liberty Belle River Boat dock station (or whatever it's called). We found this one by accident one night. We had already watched Spectromagic and then we watched Wishes. I didn't want to leave the park quite yet so we took our time and slowly walked around the MK making our way back to Main Street. But I had forgotten that this particular night they had two Spectomagic parades, so of course we got trapped and couldn't get through Liberty Square while the parade was coming. I just couldn't stand up any longer so we went into the boat station and found some benches to rest on. It turned out to be quite lovely and you could hear the Spectro music in the background. And there was nobody else there! So, if you want a quiet little hide away late at night be sure to check this spot out!

Just got back

We just got back from our 10 day trip to Walt Disney World (3/7 - 3/16) and we got to relax in some of our favorite places, and some new ones too.

TTA, Railroad, Carousel of Progress, Tom Sawyers Island playing checkers or sitting in the rocking chairs, Living with the Land, World Showcase sitting and eating in the countries. Just to name a few.
