Us new orleans people do think alike. I agree this would be as good a place as any for Disney to do research for future projects. I mean, most of us eat, drink, and sleep disney to an extent. So we have an incredible amount of passion in the ideas we express because of the feeling disney provides for each of us. I know if i worked for Disney i'd be checking forums constantly to see what loyal fans are saying.

OK... so prove me wrong... What's you idea?

Have you ever been to the Port Orleans resort? Does it at all capture the feel of New Orleans? I have never been to either one, but NO is on my list of cities to visit in the near future.

The Star Trek idea can't be done, sorry to say. Hilton has a Star Trek Casino in Las Vegas already, with a Star Trek ride, which by the way kicks a$$. If you are a trekkie definitely go check out the casino and the ride they are both awesome. I loved eating at Quark's Bar for lunch. My parents were in heaven, both being semi-trekkies and all.

As for LOTR, I think that'd be better for a park or a ride theme rather than a resort theme, thought that'd be cool too. Maybe a park/resort combo like AK........................

I agree that LOTR would be a great THEME PARK but it would be a nice resort too.

Wooooooaaaaaaa....... Just hang on in there buddy, the thread only asked for suggestions - If I'd known you wanted a full scale blueprint I would have attached one (Just kidding)

On the boat ride between DL/PO and Downtown Disney is a "village" of homes on stilts (it has a name I can't remember it) with a little more imagination this area could be the 100 acre wood, a bit of theming and you get all the attractions as featured in the story. And yes, Christopher Robins house could be the main reception area.

Those would be the treehouse villas. The intention of those originally was that they would be permenant residences, but of course, the concept was changed into the first home away from home resorts. Those are the original phaseII resort rooms when the Lake Buena Vista Marketplace was built back in the 1970's.

TOT!

I have always wanted to see a resort based on Tower of Terror. It's my favorite ride and It would look so cool! I can see it now. The elevators, the bell on the front desk, the fountain in the middle of the valet. That would be so cool. Did you know Disney is building a Tot in Disneyland California Adventure? It will have 4 elevators. :)

I would like to see something with a more tropical theme tha CBR. Something themed afetr Typhoon Lagoon or Purated of the Carabean (hope I spelled that right). I think the haunted mansion theming idea is awesome. Tom sawyer island theming would be pretty cool too. I like the idea of country themeing but it does not seem disney. Staying in a hotel themed afetr Japan would not be the total escape from reality that seems to be at most resorts.:D :D

I would like to see an updated Contemp. INSIDE of EPCOT. I like the ToT idea, or that car hotel could be the next value resort.

What about a Superstar Hotel, kinda like the Hard Rock...I would also like a Persian themed hotel.

I also like the Cowboy hotel...but I think the worst Disney resort is the Mexican/Southwest @ DLP.

The Tom Sawyer idea is tied into PO-Riverside I believe, with the Swimmin' hole. As for the Superstar idea, it's possible if they do something with Planet Hollywood like Universal did with hard Rock, but Disney already has the All-Stars so I doubt they'd do something like that.

I don't think Disney would made a Haunted Mansion or scary-type resort, due to the quantity of kids per family and counting that the majority would not like to get scared when relaxing at there hotel.
I think they should finish the concept and build the Mediterranian hotel which looked sort of another version of the Floridian, which would be soooo cool.

I have always wanted a haunted mansion hotel in Las Vegas or Disneyworld. I think it would be so neet modeled after the TOT. The elevators could have mirrors that you would see ghosts in. There could be a restaurant almost like the Blue Bayou in DL but more spooky, like an enchanted forest where things fly by sometime or a haunted swamp with big weeping willows and the waitresses could dress gothic. The front could have a graveyard like the haunted mansion with moving tombstones and a huge spooky looking tree and I think there should be a lagoon with a bridge like the legend of sleepy hollow that has the headless horseman ride around at night. The rooms could have lights that look like candles and the beds could be big with fabric hanging around them to look old fashioned and one of those tubs witht he claws. I don't really know what to put in the lobby. Maybe on the cieling a storm and the full moon like what they have at ceasar's palace that changes.

I ALWAYS thought going off from each land in World Showcase would be incredible. That would be SO cool, imagine the possibilities! If you dont have money for a trip to Italy, go to Florida! Stay in the Italiano resort! :)

I agree witrh the Haunted Mansion & ToT themed resort! Cool!

Hehe Just imagine in a scary themed hotel when you step into the elevator, and it shudders. Then a voice says "only joking!" lol

Anyone seen the elevator in Disney Quest with the Genie?! Now thats cool!

the one thing I miss is Chicago style pizza and hotdogs when I am in disney. there is nothing like em. maybe a "downtown" feel to it?

that was kinda lame, but here is another one....

I love the ToT idea, but instead of the spiderwebs, simply recreate the hotel. The music, the workers in the style clothes.... the old bellhops. that would be cool.
