Seeing SpectroMagic approaching, and deciding to skip it and take advantage of the short Jungle Cruise queue instead.

That our last trip before they replaced Spectro with MSEP. :(

Please... much less effective than the electric rotary tool I used on Leave on Legacy last year. Just don't let the noise get you caught by security and you'll be fine.

Besides the obvious "wish I had gone sooner" (I was 23 on my first trip and am 26 going on my second this September) my biggest regret would be not riding Dumbo!

I was not planning on skipping Dumbo 3 years ago, however, my ex *grumble* made a fuss about me wanting to wait 25 minutes for "the stupid elephants" and so I moved on..... :brick::brick::brick:

I'm also in the "Wish I'd gone sooner" group.

I was a Disney hater for the longest time, feeling that it was all corporate and big business.

Even when we had our kids, I still wanted to do other things. Then, in 2007, my wife just decided we were going. She planned the 4 day trip in a couple of weeks, and even got ADR's to LeCellier and CRT. I was a grump the whole drive down and even the first day there at Epcot. We got to Magic Kingdom on day 2 and I walked in and saw the castle and something changed.

By the time we left, I was the one on the drive home talking about when our next trip would be.

I sometimes think my wife is sorry for starting my obsession!

My biggest regret is that I haven't been to WDW since my second visit in 1978.

I hadn't thought of going back until I saw the shows on the Travel Channel about the parks. It looked like too much fun, so after checking out a couple of the guides I decided to start making plans to return in 2013.

Not buying DVC in 1993!

I have to second that. It wasn't until 10 years later in 2003 that we bought into DVC.

Our first trip to WDW was in 2003. My wife and I did not really take a honeymoon and put the money away and finally in 2003 we went to FL for a 2week trip to hit all of the theme parks. We spent 7 days of our 2 weeks in WDW and left feeling like we did not see or do enough. Universal was ok and so was Seaworld and Busch Gardens, but it was not the same feeling as being swept away into the world of WDW. I was literally shocked when we left WDW. We got in the car that had not moved all week and I said to my wife "I think we have to go back to reality". After not dealing with any cash, driving, phones, bills, cooking, cleaning and all of those things we deal with daily it was a vacation that will be remembered forever. I have never quite had that feeling again, but we still like being swept away from reality.

Staying off site. My husband and I did this for our first tip together about 5 years ago. What a pain! While the hotel was nice is was not worth the hastle. We learned our lesson! Now we usually stay at teh Swan or Dolphin.

putting off our december 2010 trip! my nephew was invited to attend a national youth leadership confernece in Washington DC in November of 2010 and we knew it was really a chance of a lifetime for him, so we put off WDW trip we were supposed to go on in Dec....little did we know that my baby sister who was supposed to go with us on that trip would get sick suddenly in Feb 2011 and pass away a week later. she had been planning on taking her 3 year old daughter to meet Cinderella.(she had been pregnant with her on her 1st trip).....BUT my older sister and I along with our dad, made sure to fulfill her dream and took her precious now 4 year old with us back in January and she had the TIME OF HER LIFE! made us soooo happy! she even "sent" her mommy a Mickey balloon to Heaven so her Mommy would have one! already planning our 2nd trip this year with her in Oct! doing water parks this time! as well as MNSSHP! she is so ready to go again!

In 2001 choosing free poster instead of having the kids pics put on leave a legacy----they check out those photos every time we come to this date :hammer:

Agreed!

Not ever joining the DVC...who knew we would keep going back again and again! Now my kids are older so not sure how many more times we'll go but if we were members I know we would.

I think my parents would think the same way. They almost commited when I was in high school and my brother was in junior high, but decided not to. Not long after, my dad had to take a year off of work, so it seemed like a good thing. I'm 26 now and if my parents could have foreseen how many times we would go together in these past 10 years (probably 6-8 times), they would have definitely invested.

I wish I would have cared more about characters during my earlier trips - I could have some amazing photos of retired characters if I only took the time to stop.

I guess I have one. On our first trip to Disney in 1979, we didn't have a lot of money and film and processing were very expensive for us, so we didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked at the time. I really regret not having more pictures from that trip. Also, I didn't fully appreciate the magnitude of the world, even at that time. We didn't go back again until 1996 and have been back about two dozen times since.

Not having our names on one of the bricks at the entrance to the MK.

Us too. We just didn't have the money available at the time. Now I scan those bricks every time we go, and have actually found ones from people from my home town (don't know them though). We did buy the pictures which are still positioned on those granite blocks at EPCOT.

Second biggest regret: That I wasn't born a Disney. :ROFLOL::ROFLOL:
