What about Jenny's phone number---you probably know that!

I actually dialed it once a long time ago before you had to dial the area code with the number and someone really answered.

I did have banana clips, had strawberry shortcake scented dolls, high top reeboks, tight rolled pants, big hair, used lots of hairspray, wore neon and pastel colored clothes, hoop earrings to match (one hoop in one ear and a stud in the other), no side pony tails, loved carebears and probably still have it at my parent's house. Can't think of anything else right now but I can tell you that most of the post with the exception of maybe 10 or less did not apply to me. I did grow up in the 80's, right smack dab in the middle, and graduated in 1990.

The 80s and being from Jersey the reason I've never had a bad hair day at Disney. Teasing comb and extra stregnth hairspray!

43. You wore like, EIGHT pairs of socks over tights with high top Reeboks.

Had Reeboks back then (several pairs, in fact), never did this (I am a guy, BTW), but I do remember some of the girls during my early teen years doing this!

Speaking of 80's footwear, did anyone growing up back then wear deck shoes (aka boat shoes or topsiders) with NO socks? I had several pairs back then, and rarely wore socks with them. In fact, when I was in HS (1987-1991) during the warm weather, nearly all of the guys (and a great many of the girls as well) would wear decks (or something similar) with no socks, when they would wear shorts.

I got to the one about Fresh Prince of Bel Air, which wasn't on in the 80s (although the "Parents Just Don't Understand" song was an 80s hit) and then I scrolled toward the end and saw the Bon Jovi song listed with the wrong title, "Shot Through the Heart." I do know all the words to that song. I even know the title of the song, because I had the record. :)

I skipped most of the list, but I wonderif whoever made it actually remembers the 80s, lol.

Hellooooo girls! Who still has their Cabbage Patch and how many people did your folks beat up to get it? Have mine! Step-mom stood in line for 2 hours to get her!

Who had parachute pants? Lace fingerless gloves? Layered Outback Red shirts? I had a Coca-Cola watch and shirts, too. Guess jeans were what you wore with 'em. Wore my Keds religiously for years, favorite was my black ones...then moved on to Vans. I teased and shellac'd my hair with the best of 'em.

Gotta ask...who remembers their family getting a microwave for the first time? VCR? Don't tell me your folks went Beta Max! LOL!

We did acronyms before they were "cool"....remember writing notes to your friends (not texting!) and writing things like "BFF - Best Friends Forever" and "LYLAS - Love Ya Like A Sis"??? Do you still have your notes from your friends??? I do!

MTV DID start out playing music (my boys still don't believe me about that). In fact, my step-dad was convinced we'd all turn into heathens for watching it so he forbade our babysitters from turning it on. We still watched with our sitters. ;)

Remember calling the radio stations over and over to request your favorite songs??? Then flip out when they played 'em??? Better still, when your call was taped & played on the air????? OMG!!! Our babysitter lined us up & made us call over & over until she could hear 'Hungry Like the Wolf'... Speaking of, which were you going to marry when you grew up: Simon or John? LOL!

I could do this all day! Love being old enough to see so many fashionable things come back around again! The 80s were frickin' awesome!

Off the top of my head:
I begged and pleaded with her day after day
But she packed my suite case and send me on my way
She gave me a kiss and then she gave me my ticket.
I put my walkman on and said, 'I might as well kick it'.

First class, yo this is bad
Drinking orange juice out of a champagne glass.
Is this what the people of Bel-Air Living like?
Hmmmmm this might be alright.

But wait I hear there're prissy, wine all that
Is Bel-Air the type of place they send this cool cat?
I don't think sow
I'll see when I get there
I hope they're prepared for the prince of Bel-Air
As I was singing along (how could you not?), I got to this part and had to stop... this was the super secret part that never got played! I never learned this part! I think I watched most of my Fresh Prince in syndication, so the theme song almost always had this scene cut out. BUT maybe every 1 out of 100 times, there would be this magical extra verse that just came out of nowhere! What was this?!?! My friends and I would talk about it at school the next day. It was the craziest thing our little minds had ever seen. Even if we had Internet back then, "AOL Keyword _______" was still a relevant phrase, so you could not just find anything you wanted to know about anything that ever existed in two seconds from a device that fits in your pocket. My kids are gonna think I'm from another planet! :D Fun fact: my son is 6. When he wants to talk about things that were a long time ago, he uses "the 1980's". Colonial times? 1980's. Ancient Rome? 1980's.

Another one that had a "secret" opening one in a million times was Drew Carey.

I'll see your "fluorescent" and raise you a "mesh". I had neon orange and neon yellow mesh shirts, and there's even photographs as proof... somewhere.

And... no love for the laser background for your school pictures?

Boat Shoes (Sperry) are almost never worn with socks, unless it's really, really cold. Been wearing them for almost 40 years. I did wear mine with socks the other day, and will do so this weekend.

I was a parent for most of the 80s, so remember a lot of this stuff because of my children. My daughter still has a My Little Pony collection, including Paradise Estate. She also still has the original American Girl Samantha doll and accessories.

I wore boat shoes (and reeboks) without socks.

Never mind that its three degrees out and snowy. Socks aren't cool!

We were so dumb. It's a wonder we all grew up, lol.
