Not saying it won't eventually get fixed, just the time frame the OP referenced makes me doubt by then it'll be in full-on A mode. :wave:

That really irks me that it's so typical for it not to be working properly that they have some vague plan of "getting around to doing something, someday"!

What happened to "It's not working correctly, we had better fix it NOW!?"

Honestly, the fact that there's an A-Mode and a B-Mode should be intended to provide B-Mode as a backup. The way it has been, B-Mode should just be considered the-Mode with no backup (seriously, what happens when B-Mode isn't working...oh yeah, they replace the bulb for the strobe light in the dark cave!).
I call POOR show.

After seeing all the passion that Joe Rhode has (/had?) for E:E, I'm beginning to think that they've got him in some concrete shoes and tied up with a rope in the dried-up waterfall basin. 'Cause I know I'd be pounding my fist if I were him for how long this thing has been down!

Rohde doesn't have the power or the position within the company to make those demands. Even though he is the creative mastermind behind the park, it is ran by Team Disney Orlando.

I realize that he isn't in controlling power at the park level, but I imagine that part of his job as WDI (basically, the R&D sector) is to evaluate quality over time, to urge an improvement, and to propose some action for fixing the problem.

I know that in other industries which offer technically-based products, although R&D doesn't control the distribution level, they need to oversee the long-term product status which means making improvements as necessary.

Regardless, I would imagine that Joe would be the kind of guy to throw a stink about the current status of E:E!
