Yeah, I reported that on my site. It's a rumor, nothing more.Wasn't there some "Make the Yeti a gigantic marionette" solution they had in mind?

quoted for truth. period. And they both serve as the climax to the main part of a STORY!
Can we all stop the arguing about the Yeti?
It's very plain and simple, if you ever experienced A-Mode then you understand and have every right to complain. If you haven't experienced it, which I assume most haven't, then stop defending TDO for a broken AA that is essential to the story of a E-Ticket attraction!
Sorry I'm just getting tired of people defending TDO for such a catastrophic failure.
Is this a dial on the control panel - or something people made up in response to the broke- yeti? It sounds totally like the latter. Since I would imagine that there was no "B mode" when it was built.A mode is full motion
B mode is no motion with strobe lights.
I realize. That whole show scene (with the illuminated cavern and A-mode Yeti) was spectacular and a perfect climax to the ride.
Having known the working version, I feel let down by the current version.
Nothing I can postNext question. Does anyone have the actual specs of the yeti? weight, height? Any photos of it besides the craptacular shots found through Google image search?
NM, found the best shot here http://www.myblogs4u.com/index.php/expedition-everest-yeti-medical-issues/
Nothing I can post
I'm having this rumour looked into.
From my understanding there was a B mode in the design, but it was never meant to be the default mode. It was just there to keep the attraction open until 3rd shift could fix whatever went wrong. Is this a dial on the control panel - or something people made up in response to the broke- yeti? It sounds totally like the latter. Since I would imagine that there was no "B mode" when it was built.
It would be the latter. Not sure why people pretend it is just one of two versions instead of "before it was broken" and "after it broke," lol.Is this a dial on the control panel - or something people made up in response to the broke- yeti? I'm just asking. Have you ever actually experienced the attraction with the Yeti working? In person, not YouTube or tv show.
Yep. He's still pointless in my opinion.
When they change the parade that's also been running since 2001. And the float that's been around since the 15thWhen will TDO drop their Limited $ for Maintenance promotion?
Nets. BIG nets. What if SSE were missing pieces? Or a spire fell off Cindy's castle?
Yep. He's still pointless in my opinion.
He'd be pointless if he wasn't the point of the ride.
We need a dislike option for comments like this.
Honestly I respect the opinion that he's pointless, but I can't stand the people that say it's no big deal that he's broken because you only see him for 2 seconds anyway. If you don't think the Yeti, even a static or moving yeti, is vital to the story that's fine, but To rationalize that a static Yeti is fine because you only see him for a second is IMO ludacrisHey, it's just my opinion. Who cares what I think, right?
