Pre-Trip Yep, we're really going in July.

This will be our 5th trip to Disney and yes we should know better than to go to Disney in July. But due to our oldest starting her second year in college we can't pull her out of school like we have in the past so we'll just have to deal with the crowds and the heat. Regardless we are all excited about our up coming trip.
Here we are....

We are also bringing a friend of my daughters but don't have a photo at this time.

As of today we have 57 days until our vacation and 60 days until we arrive at Disney!!

And that means that today was the day that we got to book fast passes. Oh what stress that was. Now, I'm a planner but it's a little stressful planning out days 60 days in advance when things change, moods change, people want to sleep in....etc. I did get a few for 7DMT and the new Frozen ride in Epcot.

We will be arriving on the last day that Dinosaur will be open before the refurbishment so we'll definitely be riding that.

We will be getting two rooms at AllStar Movies for this trip. I will be missing POR but with 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms ASM will be much appreciated.

So excited that you have a trip planned. Those ears are awesome - I did think of making some but everything flopped forward, maybe we don't have good base ones in the UK! Any tips appreciated.
As you know PORS is my home too but I am sure you will have a great time wherever you lay your weiry heads. :)
Thanks so much!! We used foam board and thin cardboard together then we stuff them with cotton balls. They seem to work better than poly filling. We also used a wide headband.
I'm actually getting excited about our Value. The thought of two bathrooms seems more and more appealing.

Close to the teens!! Loved y'all's ears! Y'all got me thinking that we can walk to HS from the Beach Club... We normally just take the boat (pure laziness on our part I tell ya) A little extra exercise never hurt anyone! Can't wait for the report! Have a great time!!
Thanks!! I'll let you know how the walk goes!
Used to go in summer for many years - great trips. It's wonderful being in the parks on a summer night. But get the heck out of Dodge in the mid afternoon...everyone still toughing it out will usually end up cranky, tired and heat exhausted by then. aka...Meltdown Mania.
I'll tell you what.....I'm so excited for the nights. All the lights...it seems so ....magical. I just can't wait!!!

Down to only 24 days to go and look what came in the mail!

But if you notice Cady's band doesn't have her name listed. We called Disney to make sure all was well. It looks like when she went in to pick her color she didn't fill in her name. She doesn't really mind so no biggie. We're still waiting for 2 more magic bands. Hopefully they come in tomorrow

Also a big shout out to @lostpro9het. He helped me figure out how to post pictures with my phone so during my trip I may make a few live posts. Plus he just posted a great trip report and I stole one of his pictures and made it my desktop at work. I love having a new Disney pic every week.

Wow those ears are phenomenal!!! :jawdrop::jawdrop::jawdrop::jawdrop: I would totally buy them if they were in a store!!

A July trip!! My family went once during July. You're lucky this year that it looks like tour groups won't really be there and that crowds won't be so crazy. :) But it'll still be SUPER HOT, so make sure to stay as cool as possible!

Thanks for the compliment!! :D I hope your right about the crowds. The wait times have seemed a little lower than I was expecting so that makes me very happy!!

Well. Only 2 weeks until we head down to Orlando!!! I'm so excited but I'm also starting to get nervous. Does anyone else go through this? I think I'm most worried that I built up Disney so much and I'm afraid of being disappointed.

On a good note my wonderful girls bought me some Disney pins to start trading for my birthday!! The kids have been trading for the past 4 trips. Now I get to trade too!! They got me some of my favorite characters to keep and a few pins off ebay to trade. I hopped on youtube to find out how to tell if any of the pins are fake and I have to say a couple were. I glad I checked though.....I'd feel bad trading fake pins. I'll also need to by a lanyard when we get to Disney. I see a trip to World of Disney in my future. :)

Look at Smee and Sadness!! Aren't they adorable :inlove:

They're wonderful! My boys made me make them new lanyards for this trip. I haven't hit nervous quite yet and may not have time because I'll be planning UNI and the ride home most likely right up until we leave.

This definitely happens to me! Before my last trip I was in a state of panic almost every day for two weeks for absolutely no reason. I would be walking around Target (we go like 10 times before a trip haha) with such major anxiety that my Mom and sister would start to get anxious too. Then I would proceed to buy so much stuff that I did not need for the trip. Then I worry about everyone having a good time. The good thing is the trips are all amazing in their own way and I am never disappointed (well with the whole trip, usually some sort of bus incident disappoints me at some point haha) :) You will have an amazing trip!

I think pre trip anxiety is par for the course! :)

My husband got me a bunch of Disney pins off of EBAY for Christmas and I think MOST are fakes. Such a bummer. I wouldn't have known but someone on Insta told me it's not really "nice" to trade fake pins, so now I just get them out and admire them. :(

I get anxiety too :/ It's something about a Disney vacation, because I didn't do that at all when I went to CA to visit family. I think it's something about the planning aspect...you worry that you missed something along the way. But usually it's all fine once you get there! At least you know you're not alone :p

I'm glad I read this about the pins! I've been thinking about trying out trading, and I would have never known people sell fakes...that's so sad. I'll definitely research before buying any.

I'm 12 days away, and I'm half excited, half anxious. What's that about? All these months of planning, and now I have nothing to do but wait!
Hopefully, we'll both be able to enjoy the vacations we planned, not stress over them! Let it go!
Amen and AAAHHHHhhh we're going to be at Disney soon!!!!

Ugh, this is so me. Why do we do this to ourselves? I know I'll have a great time though.

I do think some of the fake ones look really nice and I'll still put them on my lanyard if I want to keep them. I'll ask the CM what they think about the questionable ones and if they say its real then I'll trade. I kind of feel like a giddy little kid. I guess it's because it's something new for me.

I agree with you. I never get worked up about any other vacations. I got good advise on another thread about pins. If you buy on ebay i'd buy single pins (no lots) and try to get ones that come with the cardboard. Those are most likely real.
