year of a million dreams

ok, sorry if a thread like this has already been made, but we're heading to disney on saturday for vacation and i'm super excited! anyway, so..who's had a wish granted in the "year of a million dreams"? i'm dying to stay in the castle! hehe. ever since i found out about the opportunity i've been praying it'll come true! who knows, maybe we'll be in the right place at the right time! haha. anyways, what other little magical things have happened this year? any personal experiences?

With a Seasonal pass I head to Disney a lot. My girlfriend and I were commenting how I have yet to win (she won with her family and got YAMD Mickey ears). Finally at Dinosaur I won, with her of course and we both got Disney Dream Pass which has a fastpass for Dinosaur, Bugs Life, Rapids, Safari, Everest etc. Unfortunately weather was rainy that day so AK was pretty empty and we also won them about 11 PM and already did much of the things (not to mention had a FP for Safari, Dinosaur going on and there was no line to begin with, Rapid we did first and there was no line and we were not interested in doing Rapids). I was still happy as heck to win and we kept the passes, still in tact as memory sake, so sure it didn't help us any, but at least made for a good memory. Disney fulfilled its YAMD purpose.

I'm heading down saturday too. I want to win something when we're there. I'll also be there in the fall for the college program so between those times i should win.

My family and I all won year of a million dreams pins and lanyard sets last week. I see they are selling on e-bay for about $12 per set these days.

Hey Guys. I ididnt win but was my sister luckey!!! She got to start the Phocahantes show and she did a scavengerhunt and won a little "Gem of Magic"

Disney Cast Members (including College Program CMs) are not permitted to accept any prizes as part of the Year of a Millions Dreams. Their immediate families are prohibited as well. It would be horrible to lose your role at Disney for a Dream FastPass or YOAMD Mickey Ears. There are seperate drawings for CMs to win prizes, including a night in Cinderella's Castle.

Yeah I got really lucky this week in Disneyland... I was a WDW CM at the start of the "year" ending in November. I'll be back there in two weeks but thankfully I won ears at Disneyland this past week where I could easily accept them since I'm not currently a cast member.

Unfortunately, I was just there for 11 days and didn't see anyone handing out any prizes nor did we win anything.. I was hoping for pins, but oh well.. I'll just have to try and get back before the end of the promotion.

We won these is Oct and there is no way I would ever sell any of ours. Receiving these when we did made our trip special. We got ours when we exited Indy in Tomorrowland just after running into my Sister & her family for the first time all week, on Indy. It was neat that we all received them at the same time.

My mom and I won YOAMD Mickey ears as we were exiting HM last month.....My mom was so excited....It was the first thing she has ever won in her life......She wore them the rest of the day!!!!! :lol:
