Yay!! An unexpected trip!!

So, last night I watched a recording I had from the Travel Channel: "The Best Day Ever: Disney Memories" and it made me want to go to Disney so bad I couldn't hardly stand it. So, I got online, plugged the numbers and did what I always do: clicked the top right corner of the screen "X" and kissed my hypothetical vacation good bye because I knew my DH and I were already planning a November 2013 trip and there was no way he would say yes to going sooner.

BUT...this morning, my son woke up to find me watching the same Disney show again and he said "Mommy, I really want to go to the Magic Kingdom." So, I told him to go tell daddy to go make a big sale (DH works on commissions) so we could go to Disney World. A few minutes later, after the kiddos were down eating breakfast, my husband comes in. I was expecting him to say "you know we aren't going to Disney until next Christmas, right", but, low and behold, he said "You know, I'm actually on the brink to close a huge deal. Should be in the next month or so. When do you think you want to go? I think January or February would be nice."

I ABOUT DIED!!!!!! I couldn't let the kids know because I don't want them to start already counting down the days but I AM!!!! Let the planning for the unexpected trip to Disney begin!!!

That's great! I've never had an "unexpected" Disney vacation, always lots of saving and praying involved. So enjoy and have a wonderful time!

Sounds like someone may have had a little pixie dust sprinkled his way! I can't think of a better use for it! So excited for you. Give your husband a big hug for all of us and enjoy the planning!

Sounds great! I was fortunate enough to be sent to Florida last spring for MLB spring training for work. I made sure to give myself an extra day to visit. Even though it was only 1 day I sure made the most of it. Sure enough I told my boss I am available for the same trip next year.

Yay!! Where are you going to stay? Which week are you thinking of going?

After our last trip, we became Wilderness Lodge lovers, so I'm 99% sure we'll stay there. The only thing that makes me question it is the week we're going, which right now I'm thinking January 2-9. It's value season, the kids are out of school, and the parks will be dead. But, the boat trip to MK may not be as pleasant as it was in May, so I'm not sure it will be as wonderful as we remember. If we don't stay there, then I'm thinking one of the Epcot resorts. But, I haven't looked into that option really as I'm pretty convinced we'll end up at Wilderness.

Is there a bus option if the boat is too cold? I know how it feels to have a home resort. :)

So happy for you! What a great suprise! We went the first week in February and weather was NO problem! I think it will be amazing! There will be no crowds and you will hop right on things! Fingers crossed he makes that big deal!
