Ok i will admit that SOME players do get exttra benefits from outside sources. HOWEVER, in the case of Maurice Clarrett it was NEVER proven. Which shows that he was indeed lying about the situation due to his anger with Ohio State for suspending him for the season.

Look, you're an intelligent individual so please work with me on this one. Think about it, anyone can say anything to the media and the media will report it wether its legit or not. I mean, i could go right now and tell the media that I gave Clarrett money to play (which is obviously false) and they would still believe it just because its a good story.

It's kind of funny to me, that same New York Times reporter (hack) that broke the Clarrett story has since been fired from the NYT due to... get this... FALSIFYING HIS ARTICLES! hmmmmmm coincidence? I THINK NOT!!!

Dude, look. I've proven my point that there are NCAA players that accept gifts, which was all I was trying to do. Hell, if you don't like the Clarett example then go back several years to Marcus Camby who played basketball for UMass. That was proven, was talked about and the school forfeited their results in the NCAA Tournament, nullifying their Final Four acheivement. I'm not even going to bother with linking any articles from that time, because frankly it's not what this thread is about and I'm sorry to everyone else here that has had to listen to this constant back and forth that is almost completely off topic. Can we please get back to talking about Damon turning to the Dark Side and joining the Empire?
