Tried calling a couple of days ago to make reservations in December and was told they could reserve tables yet. Anyone know when they will be available?

Nope, part will be full service, and part will be self serve. It is supposed to open November 7th.

Rainforest Cafe doesn't take reservations? I thought they just didn't take the dining plan.

I believe at this point that's just speculation... I don't think we've seen anything to this point that was concrete with regard to that point, either way.
And I think that was brought up as a possibility when it was reported that Y&Y was going to be managed by an outside company, rather than Disney.
Unless you maybe have an inside track with this information? :shrug:
Who knows. I'd say we'll know soon enough though!

The newest information (subject to change, I suppose): Dining out on the patio will be counter service; dining inside is full service. The full service dining will take reservations.
The opening date varies depending on who you talk ... October or November is the general idea.

Will you be able to get ADR's for both the Yak and the Yeti, or just at the Yak?
Also, at least on the lunch menu, will you be able to get extra onions on your Big Yak or is everything available only as a standard item?

Very funny.
I tried calling today and had to explain to the reservationist (don't know if it's a word, but works for me!) what the Yak & Yeti is. When I asked if it was possible to make an ADR there yet she said "this is Disney dining reservations" Like I didn't know that AFTER being on hold and answering all their lead in questions!
