Hello Dining Experts. I will be going to the World at the end of Jan-early Feb,
staying at AKL. I have all my ADR's and have one decision left to make. I have eaten @ Le Cellier several times and enjoy it. Well I can't seem to get the time I want available. I probably will be dining solo that night (Tues. about 5PM). I have done Le Cellier solo before and was comfortable. I wanted to be kind of centrally located so I could go back to a park after dinner so I choose Yachtsman, as I have heard very good things. How do
you feel about that restaurant, will I be comfortable solo their, and any menu
suggestions are appreciated, or should I keep trying Le Cellier??? Thanks again for your advise.

I ate at the Yachtsman on a solo trip and loved it very much. They sat me in a fairly private table for two, with my back against the wall so I could see the dining room. It was quite comfortable.

The service was excellent, the steak was huge and good, and the dessert was scrumptious. They even gave me a second one for free since it was my birthday! :)

The steaks at Yachtsman are excellent and I think you will be perfectly comfortable. There were a couple of solo diners when we were there, enjoy!

Le Celier is good but that's about it. Somehow it has acheived this status as being a culinary destination that one must go to if they visit WDW. I will agree that it is probably one of the better restaurants in Epcot but that's not saying much. Yachtsman has some of the best steaks in WDW by far. The apps are delicious and the deserts are fantastic.

Ya I don't get it. I was not impressed with Le Cellier, I feel the same as you. It didn't blow me away, but it was good. After eating there once I would much rather try new places or even return to Citricos( Which I think is the best restaraunt on property), Cali Grill or Narcoosses. Im heading to the MK for a day trip tomorrow and will be eating lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern. I have no idea what to expect at LTT, but I'm sure I will enjoy it.

We will be there same week, always go then, we always can get same day reservations at Yachtsman as it was always thought as very expensive, now that Le Cellier is signature the only comparison is the price, not the food or service. At Le Cellier you practically sit on the lap of the people at the next table, absolutely no ambiance whatsoever, very loud room, Steaks good but no comparison to Yachtsman. Yachtsman all the way. Ambiance, tables not right on top of one another, much better Steaks, much better service, a couple of servers have been there since it opened, they are fantastic, know the menu and can answer any questions. We eat there at least twice every trip (DVC members at Beach Club so we are spoiled)

Yachtsman is by far the better of the two. I just ate at Le Cellier again a month ago. I should have gone to Chef's de France or Rose and Crown that night. I agree with gsam4ever, it somehow has this great food rep, and it really is just average in my opinion.

A Yachtsman steak is like drinking a $100+ bottle of wine, Le Cellier is like a bottle of your favorite regular beer. You like it, but you could of had something special and didn't.

We like both very much. Before it became signature, LeCellier won on price, but now that both are signature, Yachtsman is my choice.

We dined at both for the first time last week. Le Cellier's Filet was by far the best steak we had. My fiancee didn't like the risotto that accompanied it but I thought it was quite tasty. With that said, my porterhouse at Yachtsman was incredibly delicious. It's really a toss up for me, you can't go wrong with either. I would probably give the edge to Le Cellier for dessert (the maple creme brulee was amazing) and bread (pretzel bread!!). The edge for apps goes to Yachtsman for the cheese plate. With all that said, I was far more impressed with the service and classiness of the Yachtsman. We felt like absolute VIPs dining there.

We went to Le Cellier for the first time in years a couple of weeks and go and it reminded me of why its has been so long. It was an OK meal but not great. I eat my steak rare and the inside was PERFECT but I could not get past the burnt outside to be able to eat it. Now the porterhouse I had at Yachtsman was melt in my mouth....perfect on all parts! So i say go to Yachtmans!

Yachtsman is better than LC, but if your not tied down to using dining credits you are much better off going to Shula's. Quieter more relaxed atmosphere and much much better steaks.

We ate at Le Cellier and Yachtsman on the same day.

Le Cellier wins. Sorry...The Porterhouse was great...NOTHING on the Filet though.

I'll take yachtsman over le cellar any daybof the week. It's a little more high class so definitely wear a collared shirt. But the service is unbeatable. And they'll make you very comftorable, have no worries there.

Enjoy and let me know what you think.I'll be there in two weeks.

Yachtman has better food and you aren't seated right on top of the other tables like Le Cellier.
I like Le Cellier, but it's not close to being in the same league.
