Wow, that's not cool at all.

I don't know what I would do if my date did that.
He ended up asking another girl that he's known since kindergarten who was recently ditched by her BF, so hopefully they'll be good company for each other.

Trust me, it's not a pretty picture at all. Last week, after spending $90 for his prom tickets, his date decided that she really didn't want to go - she was too stressed out!

Aww... no way! I'd be so mad... hehe... I love proms! I'll go with him... :lookaroun :D

EDIT: nevermind... but I'm glad he found someone he'd have alot of fun with! :)

Because of Louisiana's civil-law heritage, the substantive laws of the state are often different from the laws of the forty-nine other states. Please discuss one substantive institution of Louisiana private law, which, as a result of the state's civil-law heritage, is unique to Louisiana.

There is no way that I can write two pages on that!

This reminds me of the scene in "Streetcar Named Desire" when Stanley is explaining to Stella that he needs to know how much, if any, money Blanche has. He keeps saying, "Here is Louisiana we have what they call the Napoleonic Laws that say what belongs to the wife belongs to the husband..."

Good luck on the paper.

Hey--DisneyBunny
Thanks for checking on the Dole Whips for me. I have a suspicion that I will be too bloated from meals to worry about snacks anyway!

Long time no see, everyone! We're back from a week of visiting family. All is well, pretty much.

Can't remember if I already posted this here, but my sister-in-law had her twin girls via C-section last Friday! :sohappy: Isabella was 6 lbs., 5 ounces, and Claire was 5 lbs., 6 ounces - and this was at 35 weeks! All is well, everyone is healthy, my brother is still in shock, etc.

I know that silence.

When Florida got hit with the 'canes back in '04, we didn't have power for two weeks. The silence was almost unbearable. It's hard to explain to people who haven't experienced it before. I didn't like it. No fun.

Being a lone in a de-electrified house at night would scare me to death.
That was nothing compared to what we got down here after Andrew. We got our electricity back fairly fast because they wanted to get schools back in session and we were on that line. Our neighbors were out for 2 months. Phone out until the end of October so about 9 to 10 weeks. Cable tv out for an entire year!
