My cousin, had my parents' orders to watch over me, in theory, making her my guardian for the night.
A "legal" guardian, not a "theoretical" guardian.

I disagree, (see above), and you are still not legal. The National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984 set the age at 21. Although there are still some loopholes, the general idea is the same.

No matter what you're own conclusion is, that does not change what was said before. I, at least, feel exactly the same as before. If you want to use your own set of guidelines to slip between the rules, go ahead, but that does not absolve you of the truth.

And that, sir, is the end, unless you wish to drag it out longer...

Guess what Conor??? This act does not prohibit the drinking of alcohol at any age... in fact this act was made to prohibit the selling of alcohol to those under the age of 21...

The ACTUAL drinking age laws that have been made are all State laws... not federal... if you get caught drinking underage... its not a federal offense... HOWEVER... the Federal government which funds all of the state governments has stated that they will withhold state funds to any state that does not make the required age to DRINK 21... But, still does not make it a federal law.

If you're going to consistently try to put someone down and act above them... get your facts right. I'm sick of you attacking Mike for something he didn't do... I go to college... and we did a survey for our psychology class two weeks ago with freshman... we surveyed 150 freshman, two of them said they don't drink (regurarly)... NONE said they'd never drank before... So please, come to Rhode Island, and call the cops on every kid in our freshman and sophomore class for drinking underage... its obviously the highest priority to put down any person who drinks underage...

Please, this discussion is over, you're facts have been incorrect, and ignorant views and opinions are not being used properly as you've been attacking Michael for nothing... I've been to several parties as an underaged kid that have been broken up by cops... they break it up and have parents come pick up their kids, no one gets arrested... so stop acting like Michael is some kind of criminal for having ONE DRINK underage... for Bonny's sake, but also for Mike's sake, I don't wanna hear another word about this...

I'm sorry Bonny, I couldn't take Michael getting stereotyped as some kind of criminal for something so small...

Did everyone like Ralph Fiennes portrayal of Voldemort in Goblet of Fire? I like him better each time I see it.

My favorite line is when he puts his foot on Cedric's face and says, "Such a handsome boy." so cruel, yet it is sheer awesomeness.

(I'm writing a review of the movie for my English final)

Soooo, I hope Bonny and MJ had a great time today. I wonder if J'ess is back?I cant wait to hear about her trip? I hope everyone had a good day and I will talk to everyone later... Just trying to get the "Happy Loving Vibe" back into this thread, that I am fairly new to, but I really love.... :) Oh, by the way Maggie rolled from her back to her belly today. That is a big thing for us... YEA!!!

You should not assume I don't know what I'm speaking about.
The National Minimum Drinking Age Act required all states to raise their minimum purchase and public possession of alcohol to age 21. I will not deny there are loopholes, (private clubs or establishments, for example) but that does not change my position. It is an issues of intent versus action. The general intent is to make the legal drinking age for those over the age of 21, the action taken was not able to be as strict, due to various political pressures, issues regarding rights, etc.
If you're going to consistently try to put someone down and act above them... get your facts right.
I do not try to put anyone down. I stick to my self-set moral, and will defend and express them.
I go to college... and we did a survey for our psychology class two weeks ago with freshman... we surveyed 150 freshman, two of them said they don't drink (regurarly)... NONE said they'd never drank before...
Perhaps you were never taught the old "If Johnny jumped off a bridge, would you follow?" lesson. Just because many do something, does not make it acceptable.
So please, come to Rhode Island, and call the cops on every kid in our freshman and sophomore class for drinking underage... its obviously the highest priority to put down any person who drinks underage...
If I could, I'd consider it. However, it does not make me fell better about myself, as you seem to be insinuation, and I will leave it at that.
Please, this discussion is over, you're facts have been incorrect and ignorant views and opinions are not being used properly
I do not know what you mean by "being used correctly," but my views are not ignorant, and my facts are not incorrect, although I will admit I sometimes interpret them differently than others do.
as you've been attacking Michael for nothing...
I do not feel I've attacked anyone. If they feel that way, they should not, but I will not retract any of my comments.
Well, if you want to argue over trivial things, I do not believe it was "one drink," secondly, I don't believe your experiences at a party do not have relevance in this discussion, unless I have missed your point.
I'm sorry Bonny, I couldn't take Michael getting stereotyped as some kind of criminal for something so small...
I do not believe Michael is a criminal, so please do not accuse me of stereotyping others.
