Wrong choice?

We are staying in the boardwalk villas on our next trip. I have always wanted to stay there and I know I will enjoy my stay. But, I read so much about the y&b club everywhere and I"m wondering if I made the wrong choice! Should I switch?

Enjoy your stay in the Boardwalk Villas...wander on over to the Y&B Club and look around. Maybe have dinner in the Cape May Cafe. Then decide for the next trip. Thats what we did. (its beautiful, but we decided not to stay there ...just us. )

I agree with MKT, the wrong choice is not to go at all. That having been said, Certainly go and wander around the other resorts, they are withinwalking distance or a pleasant boatride over from your resort!! I havent stayed at any of the above but a friend of mine did the Beach Club and didnt care for it at all. Also how long is your trip? Maybe you want to split the vacation between the two resorts if it is a longer trip? I still feel you cant go wrong at all so I wouldnt sweat it, just another reason to come back to the World!! IMHO, The yacht club to me represents a time when things were more or less perfect (the sort of perfect only the mind of an 11 year old could percieve), so to me there is no other choice. Yacht club FOREVER! (the pool there OWNS as well)

We love both. We try to travel down at least 2-3 times a year. We stay at either Y & B or Boardwalk. You are hard pressed to find a better location if you are an Epcot or MGM fan. We, however, are branching out this Christmas and are going to stay at WL. Have fun at Boardwalk!!!

I've stayed at both. Unless you KNOW you're going to use Stormalong Bay (I have a 10 year old son, so when he's with me that's a given) a lot, I have no preference.

I stayed at the boardwalk once, it was very nice but unfortunately a bit too expensive for repeat visits, it is great though right next door to epcot, across the street from MGM and just a short drive away to nearly everything on the resort.

Y&B / BWV

We just stayed at the BWV on our last trip. We toured it during the opening celebration in 1996 and had always concidered it, but for some reason or another, never actually stayed there until our last visit to the world.

We stayed in a two bedroom villa with a 'preferred view.' The view itself made the resort for us. It was absolutley amazing: 5th floor, over Big River and the DVC center. with great Epcot fireworks viewing. The interior was on-par with other DVC resorts. Be prepared though, we noticed that if you choose to bring a vehicle or rental car and self park often, it can be a long walk to your room if your room is on the very far end of the Boardwalk. As someone pointed out before, the good thing about the Epcot resorts is their proximity to both Epoct and MGM. In addition, the additional dining options at the Y&B are enjoyable. That being said, I'm a Beach Club kinda person, and from that perspective, the additional Boardwalk features are just steps away. Either way, I don't think you will be unhappy at either resort. Enjoy your trip!
