Look on the bright side. At least it's not positing the question: "Would you pay to work at Disney?"
You'd probably see a few positive responses with that as well.

Personal choice, no one is forcing them to do it.Disney's making out alright... Thousands of college kids working for slave wages, people working for free on these panels and everyone else making minimum wage.
...and that's why the situation will never improve.Personal choice, no one is forcing them to do it.
Unpaid but surely given park admission. It looks like 10,000 people would ..........

Would You Work for Nothing at Disney? 10,000 Superfans Applied (Published 2020)
Only 14 were selected to be on the Disney Parks Moms Panel (three are dads), and they will spend the next year helping interested parkgoers plan their Disney vacations.www.nytimes.com
Wow - - - I have heard about the panels, but I did not know they were unpaid.
and I believe it said they get a free 5 day vacation for them and an additional 3 folks.Unpaid but surely given park admission.
Does not mean it is right.......billion dollar company?Personal choice, no one is forcing them to do it.
Also why it doesn't need to improve. If people are OK with it, what business is it of ours. They aren't asking for compensation in the form of cash and in the case of the College program, a line item like being a CM at a Disney Park is quite valuable on a resume. As I said, compensation isn't always cash nor does it need to be as long as it is seen as a payback by the recipient, be they bloggers or college program people or anyone else for that matter. Something motivates them and it just may be something that money cannot buy, at least for them....and that's why the situation will never improve.
I don't know Nick, I mean we're talking about something totally voluntarily ( mom's panel and college program).Does not mean it is right.......billion dollar company?
Fair enough. But I suspect a lot of locals would love to work for The Mouse™ for a decent wage that can't, because there are thousands willing to work for peanuts instead. Also why it doesn't need to improve. If people are OK with it, what business is it of ours...
My time is valuable, I don't work for free.
What's right or wrong, some may have different takes on it. Raise the pay however are you ready and willing to pay more for your WDW vacation since the prices will go up surely because of it? Their choice to work, our choice to visit.Does not mean it is right.......billion dollar company?
That is not pay. It is compensation. A 5 day stay will not pay for Bill's or a child's education.Well it's a good thing the Moms Panel doesn't work for free because they get a five day stay at Disney as compensation.
