Yes but even if you have a mask on and it does not sit properly, it isn't sealed against your cheeks and nose, those repiratory droplets get out. This isn't talked about, but read up on it if you want to
I don’t need to read up on anything. I’m well aware that masks are not 100% effective and this is talked about extensively. It’s about reducing the chances of transmission not elimination.

I got the universal covid survey yesterday...it was interesting. I was intrigued to see if it gave hints.

The one odd question was an opening scenario hypothetically that used December 1st in the question...that was the only specific date mentioned.

December 1st is sometime in June, isn't it? I don't know how to read WDW calendars these days.

Ok, sarcasm is just not working for me today. But June sounds like the pipe dream I knew it to be.

Well as long as there are treatable symptom options that lessen the effects, then a vaccine isn't necessarily needed immediately. The two or three drugs they are using are getting mass produced now, and as long as they are available, safety measures can be culled. They've already said this'll be a seasonal virus from now till eternity, so there's really no stopping us from potentially/inevitably getting it. No reason to keep things shut down for much longer.
I am not saying keeping things shutdown but to keep physical distancing practices in place. Its not hard to keep doing the things we are doing at grocery stores but expand that to all businesses including Disney.

So you expect Disney to decrease the amount of people they allow in the gate, and pay more money for cleaning supplies and then lower their ticket prices?

Does that sound like something a publicly traded company would do?

Not sure, I didn't expect insurance companies to give money back either because we aren't driving as much.

I'm all for the rules. Actually, I'm for improvements on those inadequate rules. The problem is they won't be followed and/or are not going to prevent people from spreading the virus.

Have you been to a grocery store? They also have rules that no one follows.
I disagree, yes I've been to the grocery store plenty of times and first you can't get in without a mask, every store on Philly has personal checking. Next for the most part folks are on board, they are trying to social distance now again you get the occasional person who isn't but really that's because most aren't fully sure of what 6 ft is.
Every supermarket is restricting the number of guests during high traffic times and days (think Saturday 12 noon and all are encouraging only 1person per family and enforcing no more than 2)
Last Saturday the parks were a little packed because it was our first gorgeous weather day so everyone and their mama was outside but even the iconic statue of Rocky had a mask on. 😷

So not sure where you are but we've definitely been following the rules. The biggest discrepancy seems to be whether or not to wear one outside

Magic kingdom in the heat for 10 hours is just like Trader Joe’s in Rittenhouse Square for 30 minutes, Liz

They did that in hopes people wouldn't just let their insurance expire on a car or two if they drove less. It wasn't to be nice. It was a tactic.
The real question is, did it work?
I don’t think they were seriously worried about people lapsing their premiums...

I think they saw how much they’d be saving in claims and gave a tiny slice of it back to the customers to shut them up/keep them ahead of the PR curve.

A tactic.

Read the post I quoted Sir and you will follow along. Vader was inferring that people are not following the rules.

Which I happened to disagree witg and used the example HE/ SHE himself used.
But thanks for pointing that out, oh mighty one

People are mostly following the rules...

My point is that anyone saying “yeah...I’d wear a mask in wdw...” has honestly no clue what they’re saying.

Since it’s never been tried...not once...by anyone.
