Actually its probably a lot more likely than you realize.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. First of all, international tourism is way way down so there is not gonna be a lot of foreign tourists. Then there is the locals. Some people are gonna be so poor they can't afford a trip to disney. Others may be too afraid to hit the parks so they avoid it. Then there is the reservation system which will likely greatly reduce the numbers even further depending on the day you choose not to mention all the people that can't do it cause they are not very tech savy thus they can't do a simple reservation. With so many factors I would say the attendance levels could be pretty small for the first month or so. With each week it will pick up until the virus is over. Then numbers will skyrocket so hard you will be lucky to get a fast pass for even some of the lowest quality rides.
Internationals are 15–20% of the daily visitors

They will limit employee costs by running attractions with less capacity where possible

And the fastpass prebook system already has exposed how little capacity they have versus average crowds...it may be better...but not completely.

I would advise not believing there’ll reopen for lesser people and pay to have it be a September day in 1997...it’s a nice fantasy...but just that

Shanghai opened at 30% capacity, correct?

I'm wondering if Disney will have some sort of revamped temporary entrances/queues for attractions to minimize the indoor/enclosed lines. It seems things with outdoor queues would be safest to open first.
...there better be paramedics standing by 😉

The restrictions don't bother me that much but I wouldn't pay Disney prices for it. I will just stick to Cedar Point and get my roller coaster fix.

Im surprised with the amount of people from the UK that spend that kind of money to come to Disney. There is so many great parks in the UK as well as Europa Park in Germany and Efteling in Holland. It probably costs less and they are almost as good.
They like the beaches and water activities as well...can’t get much of that in the isles...

Remember that the UK as well as the rest of Europe has long since learned to value leisure as healthy and productive...therefore employment is designed to encourage it.

This is why I think talk of masks are pointless...

People who decided they want to go and think masks are stupid will still go and fight the masks because they think they’re stupid.

There hasn’t been shared sacrifice in the US in now 4 generations...we are entitled and that’s just the way it is now.

I think the customers...represented by a lot doozy comments we’ve seen on the threads for two months ...are delaying opening or normalcy much longer than they know...

But they’ll also be the first to ask “why?”

Seeing this video I will be going, but since I never go during our hurricane/summer season, wearing a mask in our winter season will not be that bad...crowds will be low and washing/sanitizing hands is part of my daily life/work environment. I still don't see how Disney can recoup their losses with these restrictions, people won't fly as much due to airline pricing and seating. But I must say I do miss my Happy Place.

I agree. While I’m wearing a face mask in public, Osceola County (just south of WDW) has no teeth to actually enforce it. Whilst I don’t agree with the fine, by them removing the fine, they removed any teeth there was to actually enforcing it.

I do almost nothing but sleep at the hotel either, but there's just something about staying at one of the themed properties that's part of the experience for me.

If every Disney hotel turns into something like the Riviera, though, then I'd probably switch to a Disney Springs partner hotel because I don't really see much of a difference between them other than price.

I can definitely appreciate why you’d want a fully immersive experience. If money weren’t an issue, I’d want to stay on property too.

Some of us are into WDW because of our love of Disney specifically, not because we’re theme-park fans in general. The only European park that could scratch that itch for me is, of course, Disneyland Paris.
