Would you support HSM 3 if Vanessa Hudgens is not in it?

It seems like the controversy surrounding Vanessa Hudgens is true.

There are already reports that Disney quickly decided not to consider her for High School Musical 3 and the role of Gabriella Montez will go to Cheetah Girl, Adrienne Bailon.

Do you think this is true that the movie will not be cast Vanessa?

Do you think any of the other cast members will refuse to do the film in support of Vanessa?

Do you think there will there be a backlash of fans and would any of you support the film?

In regards to your question, I am not a HSM fan so it won't matter to me one way or the other, but I really doubt that any of the other actors/actresses would refuse to do the film. It after all, is a paycheck for them.

Nude photos have come to light. Those around her have tried to deny that it is her, but she has admitted to them (against the wishes of her management team)...she took them herself.

Movies are recast all the time, but I think if they are bringing in a new person they should make a new character. Will the fans support the movie? Probably.

Ahhh....yeah that might not be the best thing to do when you are the star of a popular children's movie. Regardless of HSM 3, I am sure she will not have problems finding other roles.

Why deny them? Its the truth and the pictures are there for all to see.
She feels she did nothing wrong. It was a private exchange between 2 people who are in a relationship together. Look at Vanessa Williams. Her photos cost her a beauty title, but she has had a very long and successful career. Granted the circumstances of the pictures are not the same, but you get the idea.

Simple - face the consequences of your actions.

If these photos were meant to be private between her and someone else, then she has done nothing wrong (she is over 18 right?), but nonetheless she did it, and there is no sense in lying about it.

I don't like the idea of her being replaced by Adrienne Bailon...ew. I don't think they should replace her. If they want her out, they should introduce a new character.

Disney has said there are no plans to replace her. They haven't even gotten all the detail for the new film worked out yet, yet alone started to cast the roles.

its to bad someone felt the need to do this to this young girl.really mean and spiteful.its a shame how these girls are built up and then ripped down by the same outlets that made them stars in the first place.

But I guess as long as Disney is not considering to replace her, nothing really terrible may come out of this (at least, that is what looks like will happen as of now). So I guess it's not totally bad, very sad for her, but not career ruining.

I hope for her sake that Disney will keep her. I think there would be a huge fan backlash, possibly even causing other HSM actors to drop out in support of Vanessa.

She may not even want to make another, its so far down the line she may be onto other things by then. And I seriously doubt whether any other actor in the previous movies would quit because one person is missing. I also doubt her not being there/being replaced will matter a great deal to any of the fans...its just a movie after all.

She has expressed interest in doing the third movie (even before the scandal). And I believe that the movie will start filming early next year for a late summer or fall 2008 release.

I could see if Zac Efron pulled out in support of Vanessa. Then the rest of the cast would probably quickly pull out, or Disney would cancel the movie altogehter if they didn't have their two main players.

High School Musical has a very dedicated fan base. It really isn't just a movie. If it was, HSM 2 would have only pulled in a few million viewers at most instead of the record-breaking 17.2 million viewers. The cast choice could have a major impact on whether or not fans will feel the need to pay for the film (after all, HSM 3 will be a feature film).

Why is Vanessa getting all the bad press? Ashley Tisdale had an oops with her dress that made the internet and even Playboy before HSM 2 was released and you didn’t hear a thing about it.

Having a slip with a dress is a tiny bit different than taking nude photos to entice your boyfriend and then having them all over the internet.

I see nothing wrong with her doing this. Granted, she's a celebrity so she'll catch some flak for it, but it's not like she was naked with 3 guys chugging vodka, with a joint in her hand. It's a flirty nude photo for Zac, she was obviously trying to spice things up a little in their relationship, and somehow someone got it and leaked it to the press. I think that the person who leaked it is a(n) $%@^&%#$%^ (Fill in explicative of your choosing).
