Would Roy Ressurect Attractions?!

Take a look at www.SaveDisney.com - a new poll asks,

What closed Disneyland ride would you most like to see return?

Adventure Thru Inner Space

Carousel of Progress

PeopleMover

Skyway

Submarine Voyage

Wow! I must say, that's very intriguing. I'd like to see them poll something about Walt Disney World. (But there is a definite point about PeopleMover and Sub Voyage, which are just sitting there lifeless.)

I could definitely see a revival of JII BASED on the original (but I wouldn't like to see a copy of the original, but we need characters/spirit).

As for ToD, create a way to appease the CMs. :) *cough* Ask Rob *cough* ;)

While I don't see getting the Submarine Voyage up and running again to be on Roy's top 50 things to fix at Disney. It's still a neat idea for a poll at his site. Playing to the audience.

Anyways for WDW I would like our own 20K to come back with all new technology.
I would like to see Capt. Nemo in the parks again.
I don't care if it confuses little kids who expect to see a certain clown fish.

Seriously. Walt Disney didn't put Captain Hook in Pirates of the Caribbean when Hook was a hit, and yet PoTC is one of the best Disney rides ever.

Yes! JII v2 would rock. It was whimsical, fanciful, and gave you a good feeling while riding it, that anything's possible with imagination. Heck, maybe they could incorporate a few things from the current ride into it.

Maybe make the puppeteering rigs more like those in Jammin Jungle so they wouldn't have as much weight on their backs.

Disneyland SHOULD have the the Peoplemover. It's one of my favorites at WDW and a shame that the track lies empty.

I don't hold any real affinity for 20K as from what I remember it was kinda boring.

What they need to put there (in WDW) is a Pinnochio ride, where you enter Monstro as Gepetto. I was impressed with the Storyland Canals at Disneyland (the Monstro part at least). And get the Casey Jr. Circus Train as well.

Heck, hopefully Roy would level Toontown and make it a real toontown as opposed to whatever it is supposed to be.

Although I would very much like to see some attractions "resurrected" I doubt it will ever happen...especially if they have to build anything from scratch...

Grizz...don't worry about ol' Rob. He's doing just fine!

...saw him wearing a new get-up though, this time...holding an 'Eat-Mor-Chikn' sign

Yeah I doubt if anything will ever be resurected if Roy was in charge...but it would postpone any plans to demolish anything else that is in a classic sense...Also...I think we would see COP in operation year round..:)

Sure...lets resurrect the old rides and shows.

Then maybe we can bring back rotary phones, and black and white TV's and 45 RPM records.

Here's an idea...lets bring back roller skates that attach to your shoes with a skate key. Then lets bring back those cool refridgerators that you have to put big chunks of ice in.

Maybe we could bring back water pumps and outhouses, after all, inside plumbing is just so silly and is it really necessary?

Those old rides and attractions are gone for a reason folks. They either weren't popular or practical anymore.

Lets embrace our memories from the past and look forward to our ever changing future.

As much as we go forward, i still miss certain things. Dreamflight for example. I know - lets build some rides. Lets call them Horizons, World of Motion and Journey into Imagination. Then lets call the park " EPCOT Center - when rides were funded properly every time."

I'd like to see a lot of those old Disneyland attractions resurrected as well.

I also want Disneyland to bring back the Country Bear Playhouse, even if they put it in the Grizzly Peak Recreation Area of Disney's California Adventure.

It would also be wonderful to see Walt Disney World resurrect many of its past attractions, including the great old Future World classics.

did ya HAVE to be such a smart as$ about it?
if any attraction was reborn, i don't think it would come back EXACTLY as it originally was. i think there would be some changes due to the fact that we are more advanced in the technology department.
but what's the logic behind taking out attractions and not replacing them (i.e. 20,000 Leagues), or replacing classics with something that's no where near up to par with Disney standards (i.e. JII)? those type of actions can't possibly be bettering Disney in any way. so we might as well bring back the originals, right?
