would EPCOT ever add a new pavillion?

Soon after all the coutries back out it will turn into Epcot's backyard showcase, where you can go to the different states around America, or maybe even cities!! Welcome to Detriot

just don't stop and ask for directions in Detroit.

hanging on by a thread in a way. Its being mall-ized, more dining, shopping, kiosk carts, characters etc. instead of attractions or experiences or things truly related to the culture of the pavilion.

Actually, World Showcase has changed the least out of all WDW. The characters have been there for years as a concession for the kids, and the only pavilion truly ruined by characters is Norway. Mexico's boat ride was ironically improved with the Three Caballeros.

Also, the DDP has weakened many of the menus so that they're generic attempts at regional food, instead of authentic cuisine from around the world.

I was looking at that new Grizzly mine car coaster that's going to HKDL... I think it would fit perfect in Canada.

You don't need a new country. They just need to spruce up the ones they got.

There was talk for a while about a rapid ride in Canada built around Brother Bear. I'm not sure how legitimate this rumor is/was - but seemingly the fan boy thought process was to hide the view of the Soarin' building.

I think it was just that- a brief WDI concept that ran rampant with Fanbois.

I could picture it...

--WDI Meeting about building Soarin'---

Imagineer1: What are we gonna do 'bout that big ugly building that you can see behind Canada?

Imagineer2: *jokingly* What about hiding it with a water raft ride in Canada?

All of the Imagineers chuckle and walk out of the meeting..

...meanwhile, fanbois are taking this breaking news the web. Reports are coming that a brand new amazing water raft adventure ride based after the movie Brother Bear will be built in Canada to make sure the Soarin' building is blocked out! OMG!!!

The characters in Akershus have nothing to do with Norway, and turned an enjoyable authentic dining location into a chaotic mess, inside and outside.

Aren't princess stories common in Norway's culture or whatever?

I do want to eat here though, so I would love to see the princesses take some nights off so I can enjoy a less awkward evening of dining.

BTW, how deep is WSL? :lookaroun

The Norwegian Embassy has actually received quite a few complaints regarding the current state of Norway at Epcot. Not only about the dining thing, but also about the outdated movie and what not. (I spoke to someone there back in the fall.) They say they still support the pavilion but its only in theory verbal, they dont sponsor it or pay for it or have anything to do with it in any way unfortunatley like they use to along with the Norwegian government.

 Was that a joke? If it is, I get it. :sohappy:

No, but if you thought it was funny, more power to you. :lookaroun

Seriously:
Norwegian mythology has nothing to do with princesses, and the one that's featured in the restaurant is from a different country.
