Worst and Best Lines

My personal least favorite is for Kilamanjaro Safari at AK. Last time I was there, we had to wait and hour and a half in the standby line, and by bad luck, we moved quickly past any animals you might see in the queue and stood still under the TV's. It was so hot, and there was a group of schoolchildren on a field trip behind us that kept whacking me in the back and yelling loudly. I'm also not a big fan of Space Mountain's line--I'm claustrophobic, and at times the darkness starts to get to me a bit. Big fan of the SM fastpass.

Best line is the Tower of Terror. The gardens aren fairly shady, and the lobby is so intricately themed. The Great Movie Ride is pretty nice too...I don't even mind seeing all the trailers two or three times. :D

Best MK:Splash Mountain. It has great theming, especially when you're inside the mountain. The best part is when you pass Brer Frog's house.Runner up would be Space. It has great theming and stuff to look at. Honorabl mention:Buzz Lightyear-Buzz AA is great.

Worst MK: Big Thunder, you already know why.

Best Epcot:American Adventure. I like looking at all the stuff lining the walls. No runner up

Worst Epcot: JIIwF. It destroyed my personal favorite que of all times. The JII murals were amazing.

Best MGM: Star Tours. The flight room with C3PO and R2-D2 is an awsome show by itself and the room with all the little droids is also very entertaining. Runner up: ToT. Great detail in lobby and lots of shade outside. Honorable mention:Muppet Visin 3D. I love the presow!

Worst MGM:RnR. All I have to say is :snore:.

Best AK: Dinosaur. I love all the murals and the stuff to look at. I also love the comentary by Bill Nye and the Carnotaur skeleton. The preshow is also one of the best. Runner up: It's Tough to Be a Bug. Nice to look at the Tree and the posters of the bugs.

Worst AK: Kilimonjoro Safaris: WOW! Can it be any worse?

Wow good thread let's see

Favorites: RnRC because they play good music and I just like it I guess because it's my favorite ride

ToT: same reasons as everyone else

PoTC: Air conditioning!

Great Movie Ride: Love the trailers (especially Singin in the Rain :D ) even if they do play them over and over...and I love looking at the memorabilia like the ruby slippers and the carousel horse.

Least favorites:

BTMRR: HOT as you know what!

Splash: same as above...but I haven't had a complaint about this one for a long time though because ever since FP's came out this is our most important ride for FP's and now it's not so hot lol

all the Fantasyland ones: deceiving and dizzying and loooong lol

Test Track: I like that alot is inside but it's way too loud and can give you a headache after a while.

Think that's it folks!

Best: Indiana Jones Adventure in Disneyland. There is much to see and do and basically distract you from the fact that you might be waiting for multiple hours to ride. Coupled with the fact that the queue is indoors for the most part, the Indy queue is the best.

Worst: Dumbo. No distractions at all, just watching that silly ride spin around and around and walking about ten feet closer to the entrance every ninety seconds.

Best: Test Track

Thread drift... sorry y'all.

Last month was the first time i've been in test tracks ride queue since it got fast pass. Every other time has been single rider.

Why is the fast pass queue longer inside the building? You walk right past all the theming that sets up the story!! The stand by line looked like a shorter area, forced most of the crowd outside and they don't get the story setup. Shouldn't it be the other way around?!?!!?

Ok, back to the topic at hand.

My favorite at WDW is ToT. But my favorite overall is Indy and the temple of the crystal skull at Tokyo Disney Sea. Haven't been to the one at DL, so I just have to go with what I know.

Honorable mention... Jungle Cruise. The sound track is almost as corny as the ride jokes.

Least favorite... UoE. You just stand outside!

Could do a lot more... Mission:Space. Great ride concept and nice models in the queue, but doesn't do much to set up the story as a space training center. That idea doesn't even really get introduced until the preshow. Fortunatly you don't spend all that much time in the queue so it goes by fast.

 Now, that's funny. I prefer anything that's covered and air conditioned. I say boo to anything where I have to wait outside. I saw some folks at DL waiting for IASM in the noon sun with no shade whatsover. Crazy!!

I gotta say, waiting in line for The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror, Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain, Journey Into Imagination with Figment (though there never is really a line to wait in), Star Tours, and It's Tough To Be A Bug are easy to wait in because they are themed very well and they give you something to look at to pass time.

The worst ones I would say are the Fantasyland attractions, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Tomorrowland Indy Speedway, Test Track, Living with the Land, and Kilimanjaro Safaris. Waiting in their queues makes me feel like it will take forever to get on the ride.

In my opinions the best lines to wait in are the ones that are inside and cool... Dinosaur, Space Mountain... Pirates, etc.. anything that keeps me cool and out of that hot florida sun for a little bit is a nice change of pace for me.

ToT would have to be the best line to wait in. I actually dont mind waiting in line for it at all. When it's outside I love looking into all the details from the exterior of the hotel... and the lobby inside is amazing. I think it's probably the most detailed attraction in all of the parks.

Oh.. and the worst line to wait in is Test Track. It hardly moves, and it's far too loud. Even waiting in the singles line.. there's nothing to look at, but you still get all the noise with the cars zooming by!

Just wanna take a moment and say thanks to everyone for you input. Had a feeling this would be a subject that everyone could relate to. And better still, keep from fighting over. :)

When Test Track Origionally opened, the Standby line was the line the fastpass is currently in, the single rider was the same, but twice as wide, as there was only 2 lines to experence the attraction from. When Fastpass was added, for some reason, that became the fastpass line. I wish the 2 shorter lines would be Fastpass, Single Rider, and the longer one be standby! O well, it makes me confused too! :veryconfu o well, i hope that answer helps.

universal lines over disney?

when i took my brother to IOA for the first time, he thought that universal pays better attention to line queues then disney. sometimes i have to agree. i mean, come on...dueling dragons? spiderman? jurassic park? men in black? mummy? twister? the list goes on and on. disney lines have some boring parts, for ex. splash and thunder, and arent as comfortable to universals. im not saying universal has better lines, im just saying that its a very close call, it can vary either way.

Magic Kingdom:

WORST: and worst of all parks: Dumbo, the Flying Elephant. Astro Orbiter is also awful. Fortunately, my boys outgrew these long ago. The rest of the Fantasyland attractions are pretty bad, too.

BEST: Pirates of the Caribbean. Splash Mountain and Big Thunder are not that bad at night, which is the only time I ride them.

Epcot:

WORST: Universe of Energy, Living with the Land, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, Spaceship Earth.

BEST: Test Track has plenty to look at, but it is loud. Mission Space gets better as you get farther in. The Living Seas. Cranium Command has one of the best pre-shows in all the parks. Puzzlers while you wait outside that can be interesting, if you have smart boys with you.l

Disney MGM:

WORST: Fantasmic, Voyage of the Little Mermaid. Indiana Jones,
Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, Sounds Dangerous.

BEST: Star Tours, Tower of Terror.

Animal Kingdom

WORST: Primevil Whirl.

BEST: It's Tough to be a Bug. Dinosauer. Kali River Rapids.

I have to jump on the bandwagon on most of these...

Indy at DL is one of the very best. I was there around when it opened and they handed out cool decoder cards so you could read the heiroglpyhics. Great queue. Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin is also a good DL only queue.

POTC is probably the best at MK, the spanish fort is done really well, and I LOVE the skeletons playing chess and the music flowing in. I also love how it looks like it goes on and on, like there is more than just walls. Also at MK I love Splash Mountain, Jungle Cruise, and the Haunted Mansion.

EPCOT queues have never done that much for me. Mission:Space is cool, with the lunar rover and the rotating station. Test track is pretty interesting too, although the soundtrack is real grating. American Adventure is worth mentioning too. Especially if the Sounds of Liberty are performing.

at AK, Dinosaur is ok,but bland (then again, an institute should be about that bland). Kali is really detailed, but it has never done that much for me, partly because I hate the ride. I actually don't mind the queue at Kilimanjaro, I like the video and learning about the animals.

MGM has the best queues hands down. Star Tours is very impressive, Muppets is one of the most entertaining queues (and the funniest pre-show video at WDW), and the GMR is pretty cool too. RNRC is horrible, until you make it into the building. It's a great queue if you have fast passes. But nothing can touch my absolute favorite queue of all time, Tower of Terror. Even if you start out at the gates, it is great. It has my favorite area music loop, the gardens are fantastic and creepy, the courtyard is amazing, especially the little pool. The general misty, twilight zone atmosphere they create is just outstanding. And this doesn't even begin to mention the extremely detailed lobby. Everytime I go I find something new to oggle. And then you have the library, and the absolute best pre-show at disney. Everytime I ride it I'm startled by that first crack of thunder. The boiler room doesn't quite live up to everything else, but it's still great.

On another note, as a kid I had recurring nightmares about being alone in the POTC queue at night. The lighting and mood of that queue was terrifying and I dreamed of being lost in that real fort, never being able to find my way out. One of my most vivid childhood memories.

I have to agree on this one! Universal really tries to push the limit with each new attraction... I found that IoA really shows that Universal is really capable of amazing theming! IMO Disney latley has been sitting on their behinds claiming that they're superior with theming! Look at DD, Spiderman, Dudley, MiB, ROTM, Jurassic Park and many more! Each one trying to push the limits (Theming wise)! Heck, ROTM queue line is already being compared to IJA!

NOTE: This is my opinion! DO NOT SNAP. I understand this is a WDW fan site!
