World Showcase's Mountain Range That Never Was

True, but I think the mountain is better for AK since the theme there is all about the natural part of the world while EPCOT is more about the cultural and man made part.

In the words of the Old El Paso taco commercials: "Why not both?"
Take Canada for instance:

Thanks for re-posting the composites. Would Rhine River cruise have included a film like Maelstrom? I know that the basic idea was to feature models of famous German sites and architecture, but I was curious if there would have been a cultural film, too.
From what I've seen Germany would have had no theatre. Purely the ride.

I've seen other people mention this, but these mountains are sort of hidden behind the pavilion and don't tower over it (and the whole section is kind of built on the front part of the mountain, so again, it's not overlooking the pavilion). If they could integrate other mountains or other parts of nature like they did with the Canadian section, then I'd have no problem with it.

That depends on where you're standing.....if you're looking at Canada from China, you can see the mountains behind it.

As well as the very homely Soarin' building, which I still believe needs to be decked out in faux rockwork and trees in order to keep the illusion.

I mean, seriously, Disney gave us the illusion that New York City was plopped down in the middle of an amusement park. Surely they could do the same thing to hide Soarin', yes?

Oh, well, yeah, good point. I guess I never paid attention to that, but that Soarin' building is a bit of an eyesore. But I never realized (or maybe did and it didn't jump out at me) that you can see the mountains from certain angles.

I think the mountain area in the Canada Pavilion is beautiful. In fact, I would rather see more of the mountain built to hide more area of the Soarin building. Or theme the landscape facade on the actual Soarin bldg.
