World Showcase Restaurants!

We need time for things to happen.
Well my friend you should expierence the fine cuisine at Hollywood and Vine....its to die for!

We went there our first 2 years and we enjoyed it for sure.

We like to try at least 1 new place every year so H&V has since dropped off the list.

Plus now we do 2 signature dining meals per trip so with the DDP that limits TS as well.

It's hard for me to imagine paying near $50 for a pizza. I just can't fathom that at all. The ingredients it takes me to make a large pizza from scratch at home cost less than $4.00, and that is a gourmet pizza with awesome toppings, not just pepperoni and cheese.

The cost of the ingredients of the pizza you get at Via Napoli has to be a fraction of that, since they order in bulk. If it's $3.00 (and I think that is probably a bit of a generous overstatement) for the ingredients in that pizza you order, and you comfortable paying for a 1000% plus mark-up? I'm sure not. I make a great pizza in my own kitchen. There's nothing that they can do in that kitchen that makes that pie worth three times as much as a large pie from a good restaurant in Little Italy.

OK - I read what this fellow said. And my first question would be "define value".

Our definition revolves around what WE like, and our habits. We don't need to deal with four youngsters anymore (they have grown). So we avoid the "food shovels" - low priced places that exist to shovel food into hungry little mouths :). Oh, don't get me wrong... WDW IS for children, and these places NEED to be there: kids get hungry, and quite often :). For us? The best value is the best restaurant we can find, for two adults. The GF has three of these: Citrico's, Narcoossee's, and the ultimate V&A. While I hate to say it (because I would love to see REAL Signature Restaurants within EACH park) for us? - EPCOT currently has no Restaurants of value. We always grab the boat, and hit the Dolphin, Swan, or Yachtsman for a really GREAT dinner.

Now again - this is opinion, based on our habits... if I still had four children to feed, I would be getting free dining & hitting the "food shovels" :).
. Very interesting! Will look into this!;)

Good Morning Everyone. On Monday I attended a Disney quest at Glasgows Hilton hotel. It was sponsored by a well known travel agent and around 80 people turned up for it. So we had Disney experts explaining how a WDW vacation can not as expensive as some people think and the subject of free dining came up.One of the speakers had just returned from WDW staying at the GF and thought the restaurants at GF were highly overpriced and asked everyone who had been to WDW to put pen to paper and write down what they thought was the best restaurant at Epcot for value. The results didn't surprise me.The best value TS for your $$$$ was Via Napoli and the worst was Le Chefs. So can I ask yourselfs what is your best value TS restaurant at Epcot and your worse? P.S. I've just noticed that today, October 25th is my first year anniversary on this awesome site.;)
I would have to agree that VN is the best value as you can feed a group "on the cheap", relatively speaking for WDW. With a couple of apps or desserts and pizza, the end result is much less per person than ordering a full meal each. Still more than you would pay at home, but for a WDW restaurant, you can get out of a sit down restaurant for under $100 for a party of 4. Worst value would probably have to be in the Mexico pavilion as it is just over the top expensive in comparison to what you can get outside of the world. I agree that Chef's is expensive, but any "real world" French restaurant will be pricy. That goes the same for say a steakhouse like Le Celier..
