Seriously?? This is why this country is so disgustingly obese and unhealthy. I get sick to my stomach at the sight of those things. Please dont hurt yourself or your wallet by buying one of those things. Youre welcome

I can only confirm that Toluca Turkey Leg Co. at DHS uses a turkey leg, bag of chips and a drink as a CS meal. Think it cost around 12 bucks. Don't know about the ones in MK. For some reason we always eat them at DHS.

Thanks...I appreciate it. I'll definitely check it out when I'm down there next month.

Turkey Legs

My experience with Turkey Legs was at a Festival in Florida and my last. I knew it would be mess so I decided to stay put and eat at the tables. Well as I was eating it the wind picked up, the dust was all over the place, the bugs (lovebugs and whatever happen to be flying at the time) landed on the turkey leg. Yep you guessed it, it was thrown away fast. Ever since I won't even look at anyone eating a turkey leg at Disney because I don't want to see a bug, etc going in their mouths....AAAGGG...sorry

Your right. The turkey legs at Disney are the reason..:brick::brick:

Let's not blame fastfood chains, super size fries, parents that don't teach good eating habits at an early age in their children.

Turkey legs seems like a more logical answer for you though! Don't even think about attacking my Dole Whip!

I guess I'm in the minority here, but :hurl: ! I thought they looked good my first two trips to WDW, so just had to try one during my third trip in 2009. Boy, was I disappointed. Took a couple of bites and couldn't believe how greasy and stringy it was. Immediately gave it to my son. So I would have to go with not worth it, but that's just me!

oh my gosh...the sight of those things makes me sick! But then again, I don't eat meat off the bone so I'm kinda biased. You can see bones & veins....blehhh.

Heard from someone that went to Frontierland there was a cart where you could get a turkey leg as a snack. I think they went in December 2010 or beginning of January 2011. Has anyone been to Frontierland recently to confirm this?

This is true.

I can't eat them - for starters, its gross watching people eat them but more then that, I don't like eating meat off the bone. So I never get them and have never been tempted to.

Unless you've tried one, the'res no point in even commenting on this subject.
I've eaten one, found it to be delicious, but not worth all the hassel. I will occasionally buy one at my local grocer and take it home and heat it up, but at home I have the convenience of using a plate, several napkins, and a fork to remove the good meat while discarding the tendens, grissle, bones etc. In the parks they are just too messy and take too long to eat for me.
For those of you worried about the calories, I feal sorry for you, vacations are for having fun and splurging. For those of you who can't stand the sight of turkey legs...well just don't look.

I'll second the "they smell better than they taste" comment. While I certainly didn't hate it, I also would rather eat many other things on a WDW trip than one of their turkey legs. But I'll admit part of the reason I didn't dig eating them was (perhaps) the time of year I tried one - a late August trip where the temp was in the low one hundred and seventy eleven degrees. Walking around eating something that greasy and salty and huge while your eyes are stinging from your sunscreen-sweetened sweat pouring into them was not my cup of tea. Maybe I'd feel differently had I eaten one as a CS meal, sitting in an air conditioned area. But truth be told, both my wife and I tend to prefer white meat over dark. Maybe they should start selling ginormous turkey breast meat kabobs or something. :D

I will agree about the temp thing. Although I do love me a turkey leg, not when it's sweltering outside.
