working out for Disney

I used to do that sometimes -- just depended upon the time I had, and/or where I wanted to go.

Important: A few years ago (my last visit to Swan) they DID have Disney buses which I often would use. However, if I'm correct, it does sound like they (WDW) has eliminated Swolfin from their parks bus route, which completely sucks. Anyway, all that aside, yes, you can use Boardwalk, Beach or Yacht club hotel buses (but again, figure in walking and/or Friendship Boat time and distance -- sometimes it will work for you, other times, not so much). And regarding the Friendship boats, you may use any dock (hotel) that you want, without being a guest there.

They have. I don't know what happened between Marriott and WDW? The upside is it only serves two hotels. Sometimes, we'd stay at BWI and we'd stop at Swan and Dolphin and the bus would be full by the time we got the Swan (the last hotel), so the Swan people would have to wait for the next bus and hope that is was not full. The only time I didn't like the S/D bus was at DAK, waiting to return to the Dolphin. Even if you use an Uber for your DAK days, you're still ahead of the game. I am so over Disney's deluxe resort pricing. I refuse to pay what they want.

Hello-

I am checking in with a gliding disc workout. It was short, sweet and something different. It was a sneaky, little workout, too. It looked easy when I previewed it, but it was actually a lot harder than it appeared.

I'm just lying low this weekend. I tried making a telehealth appointment to see my doctor. My gums just below my affected sinus feel very tender. I have to call Tuesday AM to see if he can fit me in. If I get any worse, I'll just go to a minute clinic or something.

I haven't. I've always had doctors tell me not to use them, because you can become dependent on them. I guess you can get rebound congestion, which makes you want to use your spray again, thus beginning a cycle.

The crazy thing is when I get a sinus infection, I don't get any sort of congestion or runny nose. I get a painful cheek, teeth and a feeling of fullness in my ear. My breathing gets a little bit congested on the affected side, but it's not like having a cold.
Yeah, that's what I mean with having to ween myself off, but it's really not too bad. I just wait a little bit longer each time before I take the next dose. So instead of 4 hours apart, I might to 4.5, then 5 hours apart. Then after I can do 6 hours apart, I'll only take a dose in the morning when I get up. By the afternoon, I'll feel really stuffy and want to take some, but I know if I hold out until bedtime, that rebound congestion will be gone by then. It is habit forming, but I've had so many sinus and ear infections that I've gotten good at it. They won't give you antibiotics here for things like that. They have for ear infections, but not for Sinus infections. I was getting infections all the time so my doctor said we should try removing my adenoids. I haven't had one since then. I've had some colds, but with some steaming and nasal spray, I'm good.

I don't think I could be that disciplined. I am not even stuffy. It's weird. I just have a lot of pressure on my right side. They are getting away from using antibiotics for sinus infections here, too, unless it spreads to your bone or ear. My husband got me a neti pot today and that seems to have given me some relief.

Hello-

Today is a total rest day-no workout, no walk. I slept poorly last night and woke up to sit up for a bit to relieve the pressure. I took some Advil and some Sudafed and when I felt better, I went back to sleep. I feel tired and I think resting today will help me get better. I'm just drinking loads of water and reading. My husband bought me a neti pot from CVS and it seems to have taken away some of the pressure. I need to buy some distilled water, but in the short term, I am boiling tap water, letting it cool and mixing a saline solution in. I'll probably use it before I go to bed tonight--aaaand I just read about people using plain, unboiled tap water and dying from brain eating amoeba. This is why I avoided using these things for so long. I think I'll just wait to use it again when I have distilled water. My husband has a CPAP machine and that's what he uses.

I am hoping I feel better tomorrow. Tomorrow is usually my rest day, I just switched them around. I do feel guilty about not walking today, but I feel very lousy.

I wouldn't worry about it in NJ. You're way too far north for the amoeba. I lay off of it in Florida and SC for that reason.

Plain bottled water will work. Make sure it's always warmed not burning not cool otherwise it will HURT.

@Sans Souci The lantern flies... they're worse...why are they worse? I keep getting hit in the face with them when riding roller coasters...😫

I read an article this week that some kid in Kansas found one on his porch and used it in a display for his 4H project at a county fair because it was so unusual-looking. It triggered an investigation with the USDA because they hadn't seen them that far west yet. I read the furthest west they've been spotted was eastern Indiana.

I saw that. I'm kind of not surprised given how devious these bugs are. I've killed 18 so far today.

Don't feel guilty...you're sick. When you feel better, you'll get back to the routine. Feel better soon!

Good morning. ☀️

I slept so much better last night. I took 2 Advil and Sudafed before I went to bed. I also drank a liter of water. It was kind of a mistake, but at the same time, I think it helped me feel much more comfortable. (I'd rather have to get up for the bathroom than intense sinus pain) I woke up naturally, not because of sinus pain. I did a kettlebell workout and I was fine until the cool down. There were a few downward facing dogs and I think having my head below my waist brought back the pressure. It feels a bit better now. I think the secret is chugging water all day. It's kind of tedious, but I feel better. It's a good thing I have no plans to leave the house.

I am going to make almond butter banana bread here in a minute. I found an unopened jar of almond butter and I've got some black bananas.

I made the almond butter banana bread. It’s very different. Not as sweet as traditional banana bread, but very toasty and nutty.

It looks delicious!! And good for you getting the rest you needed. How moist is the banana bread? I usually prefer zucchini bread because it's not as dry or dense as banana bread, but this doesn't look dry.
