working out for Disney

I've been trying to stay on track with some sort of routine, but I'm still having my days where I'm just not feeling it. I guess some is better than none. Case in point, I did well on Monday...minus being in a rush to get ready for the funeral right after my workout, but Tuesday...I just couldn't drag myself out of bed- napped at lunch- and was just not up for it after work. Wednesday and today were better.

On a funny note, the main demolition finished up yesterday on the master bath. Our contractor found this lovely wallpaper that's been living in there...

That doesn't make sense to me, either. Does your tracker pick up cycling as an activity?
It's supposed to. But I guess I have to actually tell it that's what I'm doing? I don't know....I always forget to tell it. I just go about my day. But also, at work, I walk at a high pace for about 4 hours in a row and it always comes out around 12,000 steps, which also seems kind of low to me. With my fitbit, I checked at work and I remember it didn't catch movement when I was pushing a cart, which was like a 3rd of the time. But now we moved to a new warehouse and there are no carts anymore, so that shouldn't be it. But if I'm walking that much, 12,000 steps doesn't seem right....how does ANYONE then make their goal of 10000 steps a day? Who has 3-4 hours a day to devote to exercise if it's not already built into their work? 8 hours a day behind a desk, for example....if it takes 3 hours to get to 10,000 AND you have to eat, do stuff at home like laundry, etc...so I'm just thinking it's not quite right. How long should it take to walk 10,000 steps on average?

You've got a lot going on right now. I think it's totally normal to not "feel it" given the circumstances. Our lives are so weird right now, you know? I took two naps the other day and I don't even work! I was feeling so over this year and I felt emotionally exhausted.

For four hours of brisk walking, that sounds low. It takes me about 70 minutes to get 10K and I am doing a leisurely stroll. I am not speed walking or anything like that, so I can imagine your step count is much higher than 12K.

I'm so sorry your recovery is not going the way you want it to. Could you maybe consider physical therapy?
THNX for thinking of me. PT would be in area that we're not in area we're allowed to travel to so I'm working off the sheets from the last time it happened. It's a sort of good thing it's happened before so I know how to do the exercises. I'm making progress again. I have absolutely no problems inside but I still feel it a bit when walking on gravel. I'm good with working out inside this time of year when we go from wet leaves to ice and snow

It's so adorable. I like where the rainbow is placed. How long did it take you to decorate?

It's been so long since I've decorated a cake. My son won't eat artificial coloring, so I make plain cakes when I bake one. Otherwise, it's just my husband and I splitting an eight inch layer cake between us and that's too dangerous.
^^^^^This the boys will eat fondant and icing my dh and I won't

Just checking in. I'm making progress I can now do LS "walking" workouts with the short jog intervals:joyfull: but my down dogs aren't what they used to be:( My real issue is gravel because I still feel a little twinge on highly unstable surfaces. Today may have been my last farm market trip for the year so that will be the end of that. Just when I thought our pantry situation was settled my dh decided we needed another shelving unit, a rack for the water bottles and some boxes to organize things like beans. So the shelves had to be cleared, the smaller unit moved into the laundry area along with all the cleaning products the new larger unit put together and everything was reorganized after the area got a thorough scrub down. I have to admit it feels less cluttered and rotating products will be easier. Just a few more items need to be purchased for baking for the holidays:joyfull:

I need to sort out my pantry situation, too. My husband bought a bunch of food storage cubes, because I have open bags of beans, oats, pasta, dried fruit, etc and I really want to streamline my kitchen storage. It seems like the storage cubes are too small for the amount of things I need to store. I have been trying to organize my spices and ditching bottles that have seen better days. Last night, my husband came home from Costco with a brand new spice rack (with spices) that rotates. I'm really grateful that that he thought of me, but I feel like my kitchen is out of control right now. LOL

Good morning-

Yesterday I did a 600 rep leg workout. It required no weights and was a series of three circuits. It took me about 20 minutes to complete. Today is a rest day. I went out for a walk this morning with my husband and it was pretty busy. We're supposed to get storms later on, so I think everyone was trying to get out before that hits. :)

My blood sugar level is still decreasing! Yay! My appointment for my diabetis checkup was canceled today because the specialist is in quarantine...her daughter tested positive. So she called and went over the lab results and such. It's still not quite where it needs to be, but it's getting better, so we're going to hold off for the next checkup in 3 months, which will be the year check, to see if she needs to add a med or if I just stay on what I've got now. I'm assuming I'm still losing a little bit of weight because my belt is getting looser and I am wearing a smaller size than I have for decades, so that seems to be in check.

I probably should have ridden my bike to my driving lesson today, but it was raining and my husband is working from home, so he brought me and picked me up. The lesson went pretty well....I nailed the parallel parking again. I really need to do better at reading signs, though.

Guess who sprained her other ankle? I've got a special talent or it's just 2020. Anyhoo it's just a regular sprain, guess the twist on the gravel the other day was just a smidge more than I thought. It's not bad at all but I'm going to "take it easy" until the end of the week

OMG. 🤦‍♀️ I kinda wonder if you're somewhat "favoring" that ankle, due to the other one that was injured for a long time. Sometimes that will put more strain on the "good" ankle, and accidentally end up spraining that one, too?

Maybe but I have a feeling it was the gravel that just gave way under my foot and it could have happened to anybody. My dh was surprised it wasn't worse considering how I went down so maybe favoring it and building up the muscles in it helped prevent a worse injury.

Good news about the blood sugar! Are you regulating it with your diet?

How long does it take to get a license over there?
