Hello-

I did another early AM yoga class. I didn't care for this one, so I'm taking off my favorites list. There were poses early on that my muscles didn't feel warmed up enough to do. I like to be injury-free.

I got my walk in before the storms came. Thankfully, it's been one storm, then a bit of rain on and off. I think the worst parts are off to the west.

I have chicken marinating for chicken tikka masala for dinner--a double batch! :)

You know, I am a bit bummed about RoE going away. I understand it's been around a long time and things need to be kept fresh, but some people are mocking people who have expressed disappointment at its departure. Is that necessary? The comments are from relatively new accounts with one who is awfully fluent in corporate talking points and seems to show up in threads where people are critical of WDW. 🤔

Beautiful! I am not a beach person, either. But I do love beach scenery, if that makes sense. LOL

Glad you and your wife had a lovely time. The fruit at that Farmers' Market looks amazing.

I went to Nice, I keep meaning to post my beach photos.

Please do post some photos. We will probably never go to France, but it would be cool to see photos.

Hello-

I did 60 min of yoga early this morning.

I have a few photos from my UK/France trip.

Here are some photos of the village where my husband grew up.

This is a cottage with a thatched roof (which looks in need of repair). It has some sort of protected status. That's what that blue circular plaque says.

The iconic red phone boxes are disappearing, but they decided to repurpose this one. Interesting choice...

A church remnant.

My MIL and I went to afternoon tea at Marks & Spencer. This was one day after I had food poisoning, I wasn't quite ready for something like this. My sandwiches and goodies went mostly uneaten. :(

Gorgeous. How could you not want to drive around there in a convertible?

Well, there were a lot of pop up showers, and we got caught in one while at a waterfalls and we ran back to the car and the stupid top would not go up. Seems it had an intermittent short in the switch. We got quite soaked, but it was a warm rain. We, and the car seats, got soaked. Then, when we finally got it to work, the top went up, but the windows still would not go up. We took that one back and got another car, and they issued us a credit for a future rental.

Looks fascinating. I would probably be in awe of the architecture. Driving there would freak me out.

We tried several different places recommended by locals or hotel staff, including this little roadside shack called Chicken in a Barrel. They did not have fries, onion rings or coleslaw at this location in Kapaa, instead the bbq sampler plate came with chili and rice.
My wife said this bbq was almost as good as mine. That cut me.
Oh, the barrel part is because their smokers are made of metal barrels.

In Princeville people kept telling us the best place for lunch was at the gas station. In Hawaii they have what they call plate lunches, which is a protein served with a scoop or two of rice and a scoop of either potato salad or macaroni salad.
We resisted going to the gas station for lunch, but after the third recommendation we tried it, and it was really good. This plate lunch was called chicken katsu and it was very good. The chicken cutlet had a very flavorful panko-like crust with a very unusual Asian inspired sauce. And, for some reason the potato salad had spaghetti noodles in it. Good stuff, but nowhere to sit inside the gas station.

The chicken looks delicious. I don't know how I feel about spaghetti in potato salad, though.
