I grilled burgers on the grill last night. We only needed two, but the package had 4 so I cooked them all. When they were done, I brought out the plate and spatula to the grill. As I was scooping one up under the spatula, it fell off, and through the grates into the coals! Next one was o.k. Third one fell off and ended up in the coals too!! :jawdrop: Fourth one was safe. :p

Moral of the story--buy 4 burgers, if you only really need two! :hilarious::hilarious:

Only EIGHT? That's a lot of plums! ;)

BUSHEL? I've never bought a bushel of anything! :D
You think 8 is a lot? I bought more than that and I'm the only one in the house who will eat them. I've been eating them with my breakfast 2 at a time. Plums are SMALL!

Still doing yoga and getting out when I can. James is on a Japanese kick which is good because the food is light for the most part with lots of veggies. Light except for tempura which the guys are getting tonight. The only other issue may be salt with the use of soy sauce and miso.

My wife is on a girl's trip to the beach, but first, outlet shopping in Orlando. Today was the Premium Outlets at International Drive. She just emailed me some photos from her room. They are staying at the Bohemian Hotel at Celebration and it looks like they got a good view. Celebration farmer's market in the morning then more outlet shopping, this time the Premium Outlets at Vineland, then on to Cocoa Beach for a week of sand, sun and surf. Me, I'm staying home, watching the dogs, working on that house we kinda, sorta bought.

What a lovely view! Question: does she have a full porch? I can't really tell from the angle of the photos if the fence is directly outside the slider doors (as in safety rails only, but a faux porch)?

The second picture shows a chair on the left side of the shot. So it is at least that big. Not big enough for a porch swing, but, it looks small but real.

Well, I would not call it a full balcony, but as @Goofyernmost noted, there is room for chairs out there. A dining table and chairs would not fit, but plenty of room to sit in a rocking chair and enjoy a morning cup of coffee, which she just emailed me she is currently doing as her friend is still asleep. She said it is already quite warm there, but she is enjoying the view before breakfast.

We took a ride up the parkway to Boone Sunday. It was so relaxing and lots cooler. We started with 88 here when we left and dropped to 68 before getting to Boone which was much warmer around 82. Here are a few pix of the Linn Viaduct and where we ate lunch. View attachment 301254View attachment 301255View attachment 301256View attachment 301257View attachment 301258

Beautiful pics of the Parkway. We love riding up that way. Have not been this year, but there is still time. Have you ever walked the pathway from the visitor center at the viaduct that goes underneath? The view under it is amazing and gives you a better idea of how the road curves out over the side of the mountain. They also used to have a film about the making of the viaduct section of the parkway that I found fascinating.
