So there was no issue with the car. The warning light indicated a weak battery, but that is probably because of the cold weather. Got the oil changed, inspection, topped the fluids and ready to go. If the weak battery dies on her Savannah trip next week we will regret not replacing it, but it could last another year or two, who knows?

Good morning day 7, 20 minutes of zen, YWT:inlove: I'm going to try and get out again. I cooked up a storm but soon realized there was nothing for me:eek:. -7 and no putting it off until tomorrow. I am however going to wait until it warms into positive numbers.
Is it supposed to get into positive numbers? It's not bad here at all, but I'm not going anywhere but the grocery store 2 blocks away. I'm still not 100% better, though Noscapect is my best friend!!! I finally had a good night's sleep and didn't wake up ONCE with a coughing fit. The kids go back to school tomorrow (IF they aren't sick) so then I will be back to the standard routine of biking an hour a day, plus whatever hours I work, and biking to and from DS's therapy, DD'S musical theater lessons, etc. So I hope my lungs are up to the task by tomorrow!
Good luck and pixie dust that it warms up enough for you to get out!

Another day stuck inside. I got the call the kids are coming home just when it warmed just enough to brave going outside. Some LS miles and YWT done and I'll pop in one of my new Jillian Michaels dvds to burn off the frustration. Today's cooking unfried rice and moussaka(vegan)

Good afternoon. It is warming up, no sun. Low 40s but cloudy. Supposed to get a bit of rain. We are very dry here. No rain since before Christmas. I ran to the grocery store and have laundry in. Eating a bite for lunch then more chores. Walking will be inside again too. Dinner is a chicken and potato dish with a mustard vinaigrette and asparagus.

Correction: I just got back from walking outside. 😊It never started raining. A little breezy but not bad.

I can't begin to tell people, especially as we get older, the elliptical is such a great place to start. Like swimming, the level of perceived effort is low. You won't feel like you're doing as much as you are. The effect on your joints is minimized. It doesn't hurt and it works great! Anybody who's starting that New Year's resolution should definitely consider starting here so keep up your newfound habit. It's a long game, not a short game. Lifestyle changes happen

Well done! All my exercise right now is normal daily routine...riding my bike to pick my son up from school...30 minutes each way, my work....walking the whole time, riding my bike to take my son to his therapy or my daughter to her musical theater lessons, walking to the grocery store. I get a minimum of 1 hour biking per day on weekdays, and then I get 4-5 hours of walking at work 3-4 days a week, and then the extra biking on therapy days or musical theater days. It's all built into my schedule...this started November 1st when my son started at a new school, and I've noticed a slight difference...hoping by this time next year to look a lot more like your second picture there!

Hello and Happy New Year!

I've been hunkering down with this awful weather. Ugh. I thought I left this behind when I left Chicago. I finally stuck my head out yesterday to go grocery shopping and pick up some stuff at Target. Everyone else had the same idea, we had to drive around and around for a parking space.

Anyway, I am in with a "300 Rep Workout" and I shaved 55 seconds off from the last time I did it. I miss my walks and I can't wait for it to warm up, so I can go out again. :)
