working out for Disney

Hello

We made it to NC Saturday. I was sick before we left, but I felt ok on Saturday. Then on Sunday, we just walked up and down the beach and went to the supermarket. We walked because it took close to 12 hours to get here, so we really didn't want to spend the day sitting again. I thought the virus was behind me. Then Monday, this virus came back with a vengeance. I was so tired and I had so much nasal/ chest congestion. I slept all day. I finally turned the corner on Wednesday and was able to walk down the street to the beach access. So that's what I've been doing. I did bring my yoga mat, but even if I felt well, I couldn't work out. The house is on stilts and shakes when someone walks around.

I'm so glad I was not at WDW. I would have felt guilty for being sick for 2 and a half days. I'm still not 100%, but I'm able to get to the beach and chill. We're going out to eat tonight as a way to wrap up the week. We drive back tomorrow morning. This is the first vacation in three years we've had that we haven't had to move afterwards. So, it's comforting to go home and actually know I'm going home (and not preparing for another move). :)
Ohh so sorry that you got sick. But glad you feel good enough to relax a bit while at the beach. Good you are leaving tomorrow cause the heat is a-comin' ! Hope you enjoy your last day!! Safe travels!!:)

Hello Friday!! I am so glad it is finally the weekend. This has been a quick week but a full one. My DH has been in meetings out of town all week except for Wed. when he had the crown put in. :( So maybe we can relax and enjoy the next two days.
I painted the first coat on the fireplace mantel. If I didn't mention, it was oak and now it will be glossy white. It looks so good already!! I am so excited. The second coat will go on tomorrow. Then, I will decide if a third is necessary.
Tonight is out-to-eat night! Friday usually is the one day of the week we eat out. Mexican and margaritas here I come!! :hungry:
Hope everyone has a great weekend!!
ps @figmentfan423 eat some veggies for me tonight cause I won't be eating any. Thanks! :p:rolleyes:

I love the beautiful arrangement of plants:joyfull: Sadly here they would be deer chow.:(
Well, his back yard is enclosed, for one, but there are no wild deer here. They'd be deer/antelope/bunny chow in Wyoming if you could even get them to grow like that in the first place. But here, there's not much wildlife. His front yard is impressive, too, but I forgot to take pictures. The birds are his other hobby.

Have not posted any grilling photos lately, so here is tonight's BBQ Chicken. Smoked indirect at 275 with some apple wood chunks to internal temp of 150 then sauced the thighs and finished to internal of 165. Cooked in two batches. I like to make enough to eat on for a few days and we don't mind leftovers at all here.
The sauce was a throw together of some Sweet Baby Ray's, Apple Barn Apple Butter BBQ Sauce, a tablespoon of local honey and a few drops of hot sauce.

Good morning 5 LS miles and weights today(Jillian Michaels). Yesterday I ate raw, I cooked chili and cornbread but just wasn't in the mood:confused: I'm sure it had to do with my mood having to battle Japanese Beetles in the rain:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: Today I'm making rice and beans(beans and peas) only with quinoa:hungry:
