We enjoy going to our little, local farmer's market. There are several within reasonable driving distance here, but none of them offer manicures. Guess they do things differently up north. :joyfull:
I'm very lucky the best nail salon in my area is across the street from a small but wonderful farm market:joyfull: So for 1/2 the year I have no excuse not to have fresh veggies or properly groomed nails:D

Good morning I'm going to squeeze in some yoga in between all the cooking today. I'm making a smoked ham and veggie soup(I freeze the ham bones after bbq for just such an occassion), a large pot of veggie chili, baking bread for the week, a chick pea loaf and eggplant casserole. I alo have Mt. Laundry to tackle, I went into my boys' rooms and cleaned them out:hungover::hungover::hungover:. I hope your all having a great weekend with sunshine and some outdoor time.:joyfull: BTW does anybody know why I'm having a hard time finding frozen spinach?

Maybe it's not a big seller, so they discontinued it at your store? But, you already have every other vegetable in the universe in your refrigerator, so I doubt that frozen spinach will be missed! :D :p

It's not just one store or just my immediate area. My mother in law hasn't been able to find any either. We've checked Shoprite, Wegman's, Weiss, Sam's Club, Costco and some smaller places. I know I have many other veggies but I was going to make a dip with it for a party next week, maybe nobody will notice if I use kale instead

I read somewhere awhile back that erratic weather was affecting crop supply. Drought in some areas, flooding in others. Now, I don't remember which crops were mentioned specifically, but that could be a contributing factor.

I am going to Trader Joe's later, I will look. But that's weird. I have had no problem buying baby spinach for salads. I wonder why it's only the frozen spinach?

@figmentfan423 I went to Trader Joe's and they have two kinds of frozen spinach, regular and organic. I don't know if you live near a TJ's, but maybe you can drop in and see. :)
Thank you for checking. The nearest one is a bit of a ride so I'll just use kale or make something else unless my mother in law can get there. She's much closer than I am.

Thank you. I am planning on a meatloaf sandwich for lunch tomorrow. Wheat bread, cold meatloaf, lots of mayo, some tomatoes and perhaps a dash or two of hot sauce. Yummy!

I would love that (no hot sauce for me, though--but the rest is really tasty!!!!!!!!!!!! :hungry: I've got to make a meatloaf one of these days. I bake it in the oven, and don't make it much in the summer because it heats up the kitchen too much. I use bison in my meatloaf. Comes out great, and I also love leftover meatloaf.

Yeah, it is 90+ here again today. Grilling out helps keep it cooler inside. The meatloaf on the grill gives it a unique taste, kinda like the difference in a hamburger cooked inside vs. cooked over charcoal. Both good, one just has that extra something.

It didn't quite hit 70 so I did lots of cooking to help heat up the house and it a nice comfortable 80 inside:)
