Thanks!! We had one picked out but when we tried it, it looked like our siding disappeared. Much lighter than we anticipated. Trying to find the perfect light tan color!:banghead:
We went through the same thing a few years ago trying to find the perfect yellow. It took quite a few tries to find something happy but not blinding.

I will have to check it out! The idea of a cruise is awesome, but since I get motion sickness, I'm a bit scared to try it. Being seasick and stuck in the middle of the ocean where there's no way to get rid of it is kind of a nightmare. People say you don't really notice it on the big ships, but I'm also a picky eater and don't know how much variety there is on a cruise. I guess I should research it sometime.
Variety? On a cruise? You could stay on a cruise for months and never eat the same thing twice if you didn't want too. As for motion sickness, I just came across the Atlantic and although there were times when you could feel a slight movement, it wasn't really very intense and to me was more like a gentle rocking chair. On the first cruise I ever was on, we were sailing to the Bahama's and found ourselves in the middle of a gale. The sea was black and very rough looking, but, the ship remained completely stable like it was sitting on concrete or something. I'm sure those little "patches" that are available would more then make up for whatever movement one might encounter.

There's an antinausea patch that you can get from your doctor. It goes on your neck, and you wear it while you go about your business on the cruise. Something worth investigating as well. :)

Hello-

We're back from DC. I haven't worked out since Tuesday, BUT I have done loads of walking. Yesterday, my son and I walked loads. We walked to the Mall from our hotel to the National Gallery, then the Washington moment, the Lincoln monument and then to the Potomac. We watched planes approach from there, went the FDR memorial, walked a bit along the Tidal Basin and finally called an Uber back to our hotel. I wanted to keep going, but my son was struggling with the humidity. He was crimson and drinking water like it was going out of fashion. I think he's one of those people who can't tolerate the heat. We did go out for dinner later on and walked to the White House. All in all, a pleasant trip.

We walked a bit today, too, since it was a bit cooler and not as intensely sunny.

I will get back to my workouts tomorrow, for sure. :)

I had one of those prior to surgery some years ago. It kept me from puking when I woke up afterwards, from the anesthesia. It was just a little dot they put behind my ear, and it worked great!!

That's how I found out about it too. I can't have the antinausea medication they typically give during anestesia because it can cause migraines, so they gave me the patch. For me it didn't work post anestesia, at least for the first day, but it is something for those going on cruises who can get motion sick to look into.

Good evening everyone.

Monday was an off day. I was sore and short on time. Got a 45 minute walk in on Tuesday, and also went to the grocery store for some snacks in my car. I got granola bars, cereal bars, protein bars, and Pringles. So if I want something healthy, I can do that, but I've got the option for chips if I want them. I still have some Goldfish and Ritz crackers with cheese filling as well. I put the chips behind something in the car, though, so the first thing I see is the healthy stuff, but if I really want chips, I'm not restricting myself entirely.

Wednesday was another off day. My neck has been sore, and it was really bad Wednesday, so I took the evening off. Today I went to that lovely fitness center at school that I've barely used in the three years I've been there and used the recumbent bike for 45 minutes of cardio. I was tired afterward, but no soreness.

Until the neck soreness goes away, I'm sticking with doing the cardio and the walking. No strength training until the soreness gets better.

I'm sorry to hear you're neck is bothering you. I hope it gets better very soon. Please take it easy until it's better xoxo.

Good morning I'm taking it easy today. I did a nice short am yoga practice but will be doing lots of walking later today. I'm going to a Farm Market with a flea market next door and doing some other shopping while I'm out. Seeing nobody seems to know what will become of Hermine once it passes into the Atlantic I'm going to get my errands run today just in case the stores jam up tomorrow. We all still nightmares about Sandy up here and I'm afraid there may be a bit of panic tomorrow. With any luck I'll get in another practice when I get home. Have a wonderful holiday weekend and stay safe

Did 30 minutes of kickboxing last night, then made Creole shrimp (garlic, red pepper, lemon, creole seasoning) with leftover brown rice from the night before.

Yes, I like shrimp! Hubby doesn't eat it at all, so it's my go-to when I'm on my own for dinner--it's healthy, it's light, it defrosts and cooks quickly, and I have dozens of different recipes, so it doesn't always feel like I'm eating the same thing night after night. :)

It's a beautiful morning! Yesterday evening's heavy rain seems to have washed away the humidity. I'll get some walking in today.

Your shrimp sound fantastic! We love shrimp just about every way you can make it. Favorite though is shrimp and grits....love shrimp and grits.
I took some shrimp a little while back, peeled and deveined them, topped each one with some cheese and jalapeño pepper, wrapped each piece in bacon, and grilled them...delicious!
Take some cooking pics and share sometime. I love sharing food pics.
