working out for Disney

Hey @93boomer how did you fare with last night's storms? It got windy and rained really hard, with some loud thunder and lightning her around 1-2 a.m. But other than some small limbs in the road, no big deals. Worse to the west of us.
You know what.. We were expecting bad but just rain with a slight rumble during the night. Yeah I just saw what happened at Warner Robbins. That was bad! Glad we missed it, aren't you? The sun is out and 63.

So I want to pass along a little tale of instant karma I was part of yesterday. This is not a lame April fool joke.
I was at the courthouse looking up a plat for some property I am gonna bid on at a tax sale when a lady came in with quite an attitude. I was the only person in the records room and she just assumed I worked there I guess. She snapped she needed some property records for her rentals and handed me a list of what looked to be several addresses. I tried to tell her I did not work there and she just barked she did not have time to wait and would be back by in a couple of hours and I better have it ready.
Instead of getting annoyed, I found her uppity attitude kinda funny and decided to play along. I pointed to the rather big copy machine and the sign indicating copies are .25 cents each and said it would need to be paid in advance.
"Oh, for goodness sakes, " she barked, never looking me in the eyes. She reached in her expensive looking purse, grabbed a $20 and plopped it down on the table I was at.
"This oughta do it," she again barked and muttered something about how she would expect the correct change back when she returned, turned and made her way out before I could say anything. No longer amused, I did not really have anything to say.
I wadded up her paper with the addresses on it and tossed it in the trash, pocketed the $20 and went and paid my quarter for the plat I had already copied.
There is a soup kitchen a couple of blocks away and I stopped by there, donated her $20, added another $20 to the donation to make me feel less guilty and laughed at the uppity lady who clearly is used to demanding her way.
Most fun I had all week.

Now you're talkin' my language. Relaxation has become key to our Disney trips. We used to have to come home to get some rest from the trip, but that changed years ago. And, for us, changed for the better. If I had known how much better it was slowing down, we would have done it years ago. We are headed back soon and so far have zero plans other than I have already chosen two books to take with me for poolside reading.
I have 2 relaxation days built into our trip. Well relaxing by our standards LOL 2 DTD days:inlove: I find shopping to be relaxing:)

Yes, we too always go to DTD at least once or twice per trip. Staying at SSR soon and will probably walk over there about every evening. Love me some Earl of Sandwich and House of Blues, not to mention Ghirardelli, I just have to make sure of not overindulging.

Hi everyone.

I am still working out. I have just been keeping to myself. I have been going for long walks alone when the weather permits. I had plans to go walking on a nature trail, but it's snowing a bit with lightning, so I am staying in for now. It's also very windy. I guess I'll go when the weather is better.

Only 2 books? How long are you going to be gone and how thick are the books??

Good morning, I did Body Holiday Stretch and it's a good thing I did because I was a bit stiff when I got up this morning. I hate the sudden return to winter.:mad::mad::mad: It's going to be a nice relaxing day fabric and veggie shopping with a friend (she doesn't sew but likes looking at all the pretty fabric) Followed by some yoga and a nice warm bath before bed. I have enough things already cooked so the men can fend for themselves.
